Are you moving/exercising every day to keep healthy? The more you keep active on a consistent basis and the more you eat clean, the healthier you and your body will be.

 

Walking briskly every day for 30 minutes or more  is highly recommended to add years to your life.  Swimming is a low impact activity which is beneficial for all ages Everyone no matter their physical body can participate in this sport which helps your heart and strengthens your musculature.

 

Are you lifting weights to build muscle? It's fun. Start with two or five pound weights and work up to a level that feels comfortable for you. Have you tried Tabata? You move for 2 minutes and rest  for one and repeat up to four to eight minutes. You can do a variety of moves working each part of your body. You can do this several times a day in short bursts for maximum benefits.

 

Yoga, Tai, Chi, and Qi Gong are wonderful movements that allow you to experience breath work with exercise. All are beneficial for your well-being and strengthen your endurance levels.

 

Pilates and Spinning are exercises for every age. Go at your pace. Pilates works every muscle in your body. With spinning make sure you go slow at first and use a towel or small pillow for the seat. Both help build up your endurance, strengthen your muscles, your bones, your joints and both are fun.
