Did you know that consuming plant based real whole foods, moving throughout your day, and following a healthy lifestyle is the best way to lose weight and be healthy for a lifetime.  Ditch the sugary junk food, the animal based food, a sedentary lifestyle, and negativity.

 

Are you aware that real food has no ingredients and no labels? Processed highly refined sugary non food is loaded with ingredients and most are either GMO, chemical additives, and/or hidden sugars.

 

You have to be good detectives, read labels, and ascertain that what's in the package is the real deal. Whatever you do, don't just  accept the food manufacturers wording on the front of the box.

 

The wording: "Natural, sugar free, multi-grain, fat free, gluten-free, something" is meaningless. Stay away from the word "natural" as it's anything but. The product may have no sucrose (table sugar), but may still have hidden sugars or artificial sweeteners. Any word ending in "ose" is still sugar. Multigrain usually means GMO and also has gluten in it.  With grains, you have to be very careful, if you're gluten sensitive.  Most grains have been cross contaminated. With Fat-free, be careful, because that usually means extra sugar and salt are added.

 

When you purchase produce, you're getting real whole food. Save money by buying nuts, seeds, organic and/or certified organic ancient grains, herbs and spices in bulk from a local healthy market,  food co-op, and/or Farmer's Market or CSA where you know the store and produce managers,or  the farmers.

 

If you live in one of those food deserts, find a reputable online healthy organic company that delivers and also gives back to the less fortunate. No family should have to do without nutritious food.

 

Speak to your representatives and start a community garden in your neighborhood and/ or with friends start discussions with your city council to encourage healthy markets to build in your area.

Do check with your doctor if you're taking prescription meds, as grapefruit can suppress the enzymes that help clear drugs and less drug clearance means higher levels in your body. Higher levels can increase side effects of drugs.
