The Lean Startup
Every entrepreneur and wannabe entrepreneur should read Eric Ries' The Lean Startup. Here are 6 Tips from the book:

* Build an "Innovation Factory" Using Lean Startup techniques.

* Validated Learning most important "product" in any startup.
* Find what assumptions are BRILLIANT & which ones are CRAZY.
* Create a testing & experimentation culture & experiment based on vision, core values and feedback.

* You don't know what "quality" is yet, so go early, ugly and fast and refine from feedback.

* Get Out of the Building meaning get your ideas in front of real customers as soon as possible.

There is razor thin difference between success and failure. Only those who keep on trying and minimize the difference on every new effort, finally succeed and arrive in this world announced by Media.

These give GREAT advice! I've made a comment regarding my 3 favorites of the 8... What are yours?

1. Think about people who don't make any difference in my life. - what a waste of valuable time, energy and effort!

2. Wait until I'm sure I will succeed. - I've found that going ahead and jumping into something when it's 70% - 80% ready helps you get to that completed product - as it should be - much more quickly!

3.  Let the past dictate the future. - As long as we are still on this earth, we are destined to move toward a bigger and brighter future!

Does Klout Have Enough Clout?

Does Klout Have Enough Clout? | Cafe Culture | Scoop.it

A startup hits adolescence.

Marty Note
Great post here about the middle years of a startp. What is life like when the kleig lates are off and the struggle to make money is on in earnest. Growth can be a great or horrible thing.

Klout has now experienced both sides of the growth coin (good and horribale). The question remains - does Klout have enough clout to make it? Jury is out, but I hope so since it is the best tool we have to know if your content is making progress out there in the north forty of the social web.

If you think you start your small business using the same ideas and systems one year later think again!  A business model needs room and time to mature and grow.

Read this article about Klout - what struck me is what they call the adlolesence stage.

Not just a "communication" job..

pranmitra Shankaran's curator insight, September 15, 2013 9:38 AM
Solutions for Inner Peace:            Peaceful Knowing (Put Peace First) Peaceful Being (Let those lead the world who are led by the heart)Peaceful Feelings (To put an end to war and terror; first put your heart at peace)Peaceful Thinking (You don’t have to bring Peace. Peace itself will bring Peace)Peaceful Relating (The only problem is to see others as the problem) Solutions for World Peace:             Peace and Nationalism (My country is also great)Peace and Religion (The world does not need a new religion. It needs a new string that binds together all religions)Peace and Education (Education of the heart is the heart of education)Peace and Women (Women are the embodiment of power, peace and potential)Peace and Business (Live for others because there is no other)How to be a World Citizen?Enhance your consciousness by recognizing that every single life on Earth is supported by one universal thread of life. Thus, the first step is the understanding of oneness. Develop a global perspective by reading the history of other countries, understanding their culture and appreciating their uniqueness. Studying the nature, environment, the balance between the human, plant and animal kingdoms, will make you revere the beauty of creation and in turn shall inspire you to take effort to restore and maintain the balance of nature. Work towards the benefit of the entire world. Undertake impersonal projects for the benefit of others. This should not be limited to just your own country, but should extend to the whole world. The focus of a World Citizen is enhancing global consciousness.
