The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’ meaning to bind, join, attach, to direct and concentrate one’s attention on, to use and apply. It also means union or communion. This can also be thought as personal consciousness connecting with the global one. It is the true union of our will with the will of God, it means the disciplining of the intellect, mind, the emotions and the will; it means a balance and poise of the soul which enables one to look at life in all its aspects evenly.

Yoga is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian Philosophy. It was collated, coordinated and systematized by Sage Patanjali in his classical work, the Yoga Sutras.

The root cause of the physical, mental, and emotional conflicts which we experience today in our lives is disharmony and imbalance. Yoga shows us the path and as a means to eliminate the areas of disharmony and imbalance.

When the restlessness of mind, intellect and self is stilled through the practice of Yoga, the yogi finds the inner bliss and peace by the grace of spirit within him. He relishes the fruits of Yoga. The eternal Joy experienced is beyond the reasoning of the mind and intellect. He has found the biggest treasure and he needs nothing more than this. He who has achieved it, shall not be moved by the greatest sorrows.

Bhagwad Gita also gives other explanation of the Yoga and emphasizes upon Karma Yoga (Yoga by action). It teaches: ‘Work alone is your privilege, never the fruits thereof. Never let the fruits of the action be your motive and never cease to work. Work in the name of the God, abandoning all the selfish desires would surely be worth. Be not affected by the Success and failure. Be unaffected and poised in the practice of Yoga.

Yoga has been described as wisdom in work and skill full living leading to peace and harmony.

YOGA IN A NUTSHELL

The Salt of life is selfless service. The bread of life is universal love. The water of life is purity. The sweetness of life is devotion. The fragrance of life is generosity. The pivot of life is Meditation. The goal of life is Self-realization.

Therefore, serve, love, be pure and generous. Meditate and realize.

Granting Women A Break: Relaxation As A Way To regain wellness and joy

Unlike before, women are now accepted and anticipated to perform well outside the boundaries of the house. Even more than simply taking and raising kids care of domestic chores, women are empowered to pursue their own dreams and prove themselves as being capable of doing well in endeavors that were traditionally booked for guys. In nearly every endeavor and discipline-- in government, company, the academe, and various other vital fields of work-- one can discover women of stature and significance. Still, even if it is rather unfair, women still do the majority of the work at house. Apart from their day task, they still deal with the difficulty of balancing and repairing their schedule in order to accommodate the kids and the other half, not to discuss her good friends and relatives. Aside from doing domestic chores, a career woman is likewise anticipated to attend her kids's school tasks; do the laundry, clean our home, balance the household budget, do the advertising, and all various other errands between. Given their stressful work schedules and the ever-present needs at house, it is not a surprise that many women are weary and worried out. A typical working woman with a household invests her early morning preparing lunch meals for the kids, doing quick errands, and getting ready for work-- all in a period of an hour. The career and house "balancing act", for that reason, makes a woman's wellness a very significant issue that can not be ignored. In dealing with a woman's wellness, it is necessary to understand exactly what would be bad and good in terms of food usage, convenience, leisure and workout. For many hectic women, taking time for leisure is now a luxury they can not afford to take. Still, there are simple ways for women to get leisure without letting down their household or risking their career. An additional strategy to leisure is for women is to attempt and forget grudges, and forgive those who have actually made errors. Vacations can likewise assist in providing leisure for hectic women.
