Dartmoor is an area of moorland in south Devon, England. Protected by National Park status, it covers 954 square kilometres (368 sq mi).[1]

The granite upland dates from the Carboniferous period of geological history. The moorland is capped with many exposed granite hilltops known as tors, providing habitats for Dartmoor wildlife. The highest point is High Willhays, 621 m (2,037 ft) above sea level. The entire area is rich in antiquities and archaeology.

TASK - This map gives details of walks from the village of Postbridge; print a copy of the map to highlight different walks that we could do from the YH Bellever to the Bellever Tor. Once you have highlighted the routes, use the scale to accurately work out how many miles each walk would be.

TASK - With only a couple of weeks to go, look at the timetable of the week and write a journal entry describing what you are looking forward to or what you are nervous about. Think about giving an explanation about why you might be feeling that way.
