The ex-US Navy reservist who killed 12 people at a US Navy building in Washington DC was treated for mental health issues, US media report.

OK, not really global or especially political, but ...

 

10/10 in today's "Stating the €#¢&•¡¶ Obvious in a Headline" competition.

 

"Former US Navy reservist Aaron Alexis, 34, was treated for paranoia, hearing voices and sleeplessness"

 

" ... he had had several run-ins with the law and had been discharged from the Navy under a cloud, authorities said."

 

And yet he had passed every clearance check to give him access to the site, and had no problems buying the guns.

 

When is the USA going to grow up and get over its obsession with sublimated male genitalia?
