I love Sketchnoting. The practice of writing and drawing to remember or visualize something better. Doesn't matter if you can't draw; you remember what you were trying to draw. Plus you access a different part of your brain when you draw than when you write, which is a good thing to remember when you're stuck on a blog post or a story.

Marketer and copywriter Henneke Duistermaat hits the nail on the head when she starts this article out by saying that "it feels like everything has been written already."


Becoming influential and gaining authority and engagement are some of the toughest goals out there, but they also provide the best returns. Some reasons you might want to gain authority in your area include: being able to engage with a greater audience, the ability to influence the behaviors of people - especially helpful for brands, and being able to help share knowledge and information about something you're good at.
