Green tea has been used as medicine for thousands of years, originating in China, but is widely used throughout Asia. This Green tea has a number of of uses, from lowering blood pressure to preventing cancer. The reason for green tea having more health benefits associated with it than black tea is (apparently) due to processing. The black tea is processed in a manner that allows the fermentation, while the processing of green tea prevents fermentation. As a result, green tea retains a high amount of antioxidants and polyphenols substances which give green tea many health benefits.
