What Is Digital Marketing?

What Is Digital Marketing? | World's Best Infographics | Scoop.it
What is digital marketing? It’s a pretty expansive question, but let’s try and sum it up... t’s a pretty expansive question, but let’s try and sum it up in a single sentence: digital marketing is the promotion of brands using all forms of digital advertising, which includes, but is not limited to, websites, search engine optimisation, search engine marketing, cost per click advertising and social media. Without digital marketing, it’s almost impossible for any brand to make any kind of impact on the web. And while these tools aren’t difficult to learn per se, they do require time and effort to make them work well and efficiently. Moreover, it’s likely that they will never be mastered, as they’re shifting and evolving all of the time. All you can really do is borrow as much knowledge as you possibly can for this moment… and then keep on learning. The infographic below takes a closer look at digital marketing....

How Brands Can Use Social Media To Manage Their Online Reputation | AllTwitter

How Brands Can Use Social Media To Manage Their Online Reputation | AllTwitter | World's Best Infographics | Scoop.it

Accordingly, platforms such as Twitter and Facebook have made it increasingly difficult for brands to maintain control of their online reputation, with these (and other) channels also empowering customers to proactively voice their opinion and share their experiences about these companies (and their products and services).

Which, of course, is fantastic when everybody is happy, but let’s return to the real world for a moment: what do you do when things go wrong? Reputation management today requires taking control of your brand’s message before somebody else does. Check the infographic for a guide in how to manage your business presence online....

Brand Guide To The Most Effective Social Media Platforms For Marketing | AllTwitter | World's Best Infographics | Scoop.it

When you’re a brand looking to use social media to raise awareness of your products and services, boost website traffic footfall and drive sales, where do you turn? Which social network is right for you?

Largely, it depends on your goals. What are you trying to achieve? While a broad presence across two or more social platforms usually pays dividends for businesses, if resources are limited and time is strained, finding the best social channel for your needs is the most sensible way forward, based on audience size, relevant demographic and target profile.

Check the infographic below for a very useful overview of the top social media platforms for brands....

Deborah Spector's curator insight, May 19, 2013 11:57 AM

This infographic is right on point. It explores what the user wants to achieve and which social media platforms might meet those objectives, how many users per platform, and the all-important breakdown by age, gender, education & income demographics.

I'm always discussing how important it is to match your target audience to communications channels. Relating audience demographics to platforms can be difficult, especially for the smaller nonprofits. This infographic will be very helpful.

ROI of social media ROI means return on investment and when we talk about the ROI of social media we’re looking at metrics to evaluate your increased sales as a function of expenses to drive those sales. But, that’s really hard to do since there really isn’t a direct link between social media and sales. Millennials Are Rewriting the Rules of Work and Entrepreneurship | World's Best Infographics | Scoop.it
HR and communication challenge s ahead... What do Millennials want? Flexibility and independence top the list, according to a new study, “Millennials and the Future of Work,” from oDesk.... Millennial workers want freedom and the flexibility to work how they want. Many Millennials have a “freelance” attitude. Almost nine in 10 (89 percent) say they prefer to work when and where they choose (compared to a corporate, 9-to-5 job). When comparing freelance work to “regular” jobs, Millennials say freelancing gives them more freedom to: - Work wherever they like (92 percent). - Work whenever they like (87 percent). - Work on more interesting projects (69 percent). - Travel while working (half say they’d prefer this to taking vacation time). You Might Have a Closet Freelancer on Your Staff Many Millennials are biding their time at regular jobs and freelancing on the side until the time is right to leave. Nearly three-fourths (71 percent) of those who work regular jobs want to quit to be entirely independent; 61 percent say they likely will quit within two years, and 17 percent say they definitely will....

64 Google+ Content Strategies | Copyblogger | World's Best Infographics | Scoop.it

Google+ isn’t only a social network. It’s the very backbone (and future) of Google itself. As Brian Clark wrote yesterday, authorship and the possible effects on the Google algorithm have the potential to be extremely beneficial to savvy content creators. If you’re a writer, this is either going to be very good for your career, or you’ll risk becoming relatively invisible online.

If you’d like to land solidly in the former camp of writers, the question becomes one of how to use Google+ to further your own goals. With that in mind, I’ve put together an infographic for you that outlines 64 strategies that every writer and content producer can put into action, and start reaping the rewards of intelligently engaging with Google+....
