Ancient Egypt: Art

Ancient Egypt: Art | World news | Scoop.it
Ryley Caron's insight:
This article explains some of the art that ancient Egyptians created. They sometimes created their art to portray different hints for people who couldn't read. They also used art for decorations, and they used it to symbolize or explain things for religions or anyone in the years to come. It amazes me how now days our technology and life expectations have changed so much, but we still share our ways of art. Although we don't use it as language, we can use it to portray emotions and actions in way that are beautiful and can be cherished for many years to come, just like the ancient Egyptians.

Solved: The mystery of King Tutankhamun's death

Solved: The mystery of King Tutankhamun's death | World news | Scoop.it
“ It has taken thousands of years, but a combination of 21st-century forensic science and luck has finally revealed what happened to Tutankhamun – the world's most famous pharaoh.”

Ryley Caron's insight:
This article is mostly about how King Tutankhamun really did die. They found that he may have broken many bones in a chariot accident, but yen when they placed the oil on his body, a chemical reaction caused him to burn. I think it is amazing how, after so many years, they can still find evidence to conclude how he died. I believe that scientists many years back could not have found this data because the technology these days is much more advanced which helps provide a ton of evidence. They said that he died when he was 19 which amazes me because that seems so young now, but I don't think it was back then. These young deaths were caused because they couldn't cure sicknesses or injuries like we can today.

It's so great that they are adding women! Women never get enough credit in their sports even though they are amazing at what they do.
