The LG G3 has finally been confirmed to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon.
Back in November, rumors about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow coming to the LG G3 sometime between Dec. 16 and 18 in Poland made rounds on the Internet. Without an official word from the South Korea-based smartphone maker though, many were advised to take the news with a grain of salt.
Now, recent developments indicate that the 2014 handset is indeed going to receive the much anticipated Android update, according to the LG's developer's website.
Based on the image, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS is going to roll out to the LG D855, which is the international variant of the LG G3. This means that this variant is likely going to get the new Android version first.
On the other hand, the arrival of the Marshmallow update to other LG G3 variants could be delayed depending on their carrier and region, where the LG D850 is for AT&T, LG D851 for T-Mobile and LG D852 for Canada.
When LG launched the LG G3 back in May 2014, the handset was easily one of the most eye-catching Android smartphones in the market. Sporting a 5.5-inch display with a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution, the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 along with 2 GB worth of RAM for the 16 GB variant and 3 GB for the 32 GB model.
It also comes with a 13 MP rear-facing camera and a 2.1 MP front shooter. As for the battery, it has a 3,000mAh pack.
With these hardware specifications, the LG G3 still stands as one of the most capable smartphones today. When the new Android version arrives, it's only going to get even better.
As of now, LG hasn't given out a firm release date yet, but with this evidence, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow is going to land on the LG G3 in due time.

Review: Microsoft has a lot resting on the Lumia 950. It's the first smartphone the firm has released without the Nokia brand, and it has to prove Windows 10 as a truly universal operating system as Microsoft hopes that those with the software on their PC will opt for a smartphone that works in tandem with the OS.
Microsoft therefore needs the Lumia 950 to show that, unlike the previous Windows Phone 7 and 8 releases, Windows 10 Mobile has the chops, and more importantly the apps, to compete against iOS and Android, which currently account for a combined 98 percent of the global smartphone market.
Design: The Lumia 950 is fairly uninspiring when it comes to design. The handset is available in black or white, and is made from matte polycarbonate that feels somewhat cheap. It lacks elegance and is prone to picking up smudges and fingerprints. It's fairly chunky too at 145x73x8.2mm and 150g.
Our biggest gripe, though, is how bland the handset feels compared with the likes of the Nokia-branded Lumia 920, which had outlandish polycarbonate packaging and a slightly curved 2.5D screen. Microsoft has so far failed to make much of a dent on the smartphone market, and we think this handset's dull design could see it struggle to stand out against its big-name competitors. While it's not much to look at, the design of the Lumia 950 is certainly practical. The backplate can be removed, giving access to the battery and microSD slot. This also suggests that other, perhaps more colourful, backplates could be made available, but there's no word on this yet.
Display: The design failed to impress, but the screen on the Lumia 950 is stunning. The 5.2in display, which is surrounded by a tiny bezel that gives it an almost edge-to-edge quality, has a Galaxy S6-rivalling 2560x1440 QHD resolution and comes with the AMOLED technology more typically associated with Samsung smartphones.
This makes for crystal clear text, vibrant colours, deep blacks and, despite the reflective Gorilla Glass 4 coating, impressive viewing angles and outdoor visibility. What's more, the screen didn't prove overly susceptible to fingerprints, unlike the Lumia 950's plastic back.
Performance: The Microsoft Lumia 950 matches the Moto X Style and LG G4 with a hexa-core 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.
This isn't as powerful as the Snapdragon 810 in the Lumia 950 XL, but we noticed no problems with the overall performance of the smaller model. Everything from Netflix to Crossy Road ran smoothly, and navigating through the software is arguably slicker than on most Android devices.
Software: Of course, none of you really came here to read about how well the Lumia 950 handles Crossy Road. The big talking point about this phone is that it's the first, along with the Lumia 950 XL, to run Windows 10 Mobile out of the box.
Those who have used a Windows Phone device won't notice any radical differences on first impressions. Microsoft's playful Live Tile interface is present, and you'll find the swipe down Action Centre and quick action buttons - Back, Home and Search - at the bottom of the screen. The changes become apparent as you make your way around the operating system. Internet Explorer is gone, for example, replaced with a mobile version of Microsoft's Edge browser (below), which proved plenty nippy enough and easy to navigate. The Windows Store has been given a facelift making it much more pleasant to use but, sadly, the quality of apps found inside hasn't improved.
Apps have long been a problem for Microsoft. The company has upped the ante with Universal Apps, which means that some offer identical or near-identical functionality and data syncing between the mobile and desktop editions of the same application, but third-party apps is still a real problem on Windows 10 Mobile.
You won't find any Google apps - Maps or Drive, for example - and the YouTube app is in fact an app published by Microsoft that simply takes you to YouTube's mobile website. You will find many of the big name apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Netflix, but some are sub-par versions of their iOS and Android counterparts. Instagram, for example, proved so jarring and buggy that we quickly switched back to our iPhone for browsing through pictures of sandwiches. The selection of third-party apps is lacking, but Microsoft hasn't been shy when it comes to preloading software onto the device. Most are welcome, such as Office and Xbox, but you'll also find Groove Music, Lumia Creative Studio and Shazam, all of which are unlikely to get a second look. Still, some of Microsoft's own features redeem the situation somewhat. Windows Hello (below), Microsoft's futuristic iris-scanning feature, proved one of the operating system's better features during our time with the Lumia 950, working quickly and accurately despite its beta tag.
It's also possible to turn a Windows 10 Mobile handset into a makeshift PC by using a Microsoft Display Dock to hook it up to a display, mouse and keyboard. This makes it possible to run Universal Apps on the big screen, complete with resizable windows, a desktop-style UI and a Start menu. We haven't had the chance to test this yet, but we'll update this review when we do.
Camera: Nokia was long regarded as offering the best mobile cameras on the market, and we had high hopes for the Lumia 950's 20MP rear-facing camera, which comes with Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilisation and a triple-LED RGB flash.
The camera performed almost as well as it sounds on paper. Images, in particular those in natural light, are crisp and full of natural colour, and the triple-LED flash means that the Lumia 950 outdoes most handsets when it comes to low-light performance.
We noticed a slight glitch in that the post-processing automatically applied to images added a slight green hue to some photos, but most are very good.
As with other recent Lumia devices, the 950 XL's main camera can also create Living Images, a small video snippet similar to that offered by the Live Photos feature on the iPhone 6S.
Battery life and storage: The Lumia 950 has a 3,000mAh battery which Microsoft's claims will provide around 18 hours of talk time.
Like most people, we don't use our smartphone much for talking anymore, so we put the Lumia 950 through its paces by cranking the screen to full brightness and heading to Netflix. The battery drained by 15 percent after one hour-long episode of House of Cards, meaning that the phone will manage around seven hours of video playback although we'll update this with a full battery life score shortly. Being a little more conservative by dialling back the screen brightness and not spending entire afternoons streaming House of Cards, we found that the Lumia 950 made it through almost two full days of use. What's more, the battery is removable so you can always carry around a spare in your bag.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 follows in the footsteps of the OnePlus 2 and Nexus 6P by ditching microUSB for USB Type-C. It took us 10 minutes to locate a charger when the handset needed re-juicing, but we quickly made this back given how fast the handset charges. We found that the Lumia 950 goes from nada to full in less than an hour and a half on average. Wireless charging is also supported, but you won't find a charger in the box. The Lumia 950 comes with 32GB of storage which can be expanded by an additional 200GB thanks to the microSD slot.
Overall: The Lumia 950 has a gorgeous display, great camera and slick performance, but it's hard to overlook the lack of apps that continues to plague Microsoft's mobile operating system, and it will struggle to drag buyers away from Google and Apple.
Black Friday has little to do with shops making a profit and a lot to do with disgruntled traffic police
Tomorrow brawling bargain hunters are expected to turn the nation’s biggest sales bonanza into a Black and Blue Friday.
If last year is anything to go by, crazed shoppers will be seen scrapping over cut price TVs, tablets and toys.
In the US, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, when turkey-stuffed customers take advantage of the holiday to do some some shopping.
And thanks to American retailers like Amazon and Wal-Mart owned Asda, the shopping-fest has now spread over the pond.
But why do we call this pre-Christmas scramble for bargains Black Friday?
The PR stunt In the 1980s, the term “Black Friday” began to be used by retailers to refer to the single day of the year when retail companies finally go “into the black” (make a profit) after being "in the red" for much of the year.
But that's not the only theory behind the name.
Rumours have also circulated that the term came from an invented tradition to sell slaves the day after Thanksgiving, while others think its original could be much more recent.
Origin: Black Friday could have come from the traffic jams that clogged Philadelphia after Thanksgiving Traffic trouble According to Joseph P. Barrett, who was police reporter for the Philadelphia Bulletin, the term "Black Friday" came out of the old Philadelphia Police Department's traffic squad.
In an article from 1994 , the late journalist wrote that the cops used the term to describe the horrible traffic jams that happened when people poured into town on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
He wrote: "It was the day that Santa Claus took his chair in the department stores and every kid in the city wanted to see him. It was the first day of the Christmas shopping season. Schools were closed. Late in the day, out-of-town visitors began arriving for the Army-Navy football game.
Another Black Friday: Police and Suffragettes clashed on what was known as 'Black Friday' in 1910 "Every 'Black Friday', no traffic policeman was permitted to take the day off. The division was placed on 12 tours of duty, and even the police band was ordered to Center City."
"Today the term seems lost in antiquity, but it was a traffic cop who started it, the guy who directed traffic with a semaphore while standing on a small wooden platform, in the days before traffic lights."
In the early 1960s, Barrett put together a front-page story for Thanksgiving and appropriated the police term "Black Friday" to describe the terrible traffic conditions.
The name stuck and began spreading across the US, and then the globe.
Other uses around the world Black Friday has also been used historically to refer to any awful event that happens on that day.
The first recorded use of Black Friday was applied not to holiday shopping but to the crash of the U.S. gold market on September 24, 1869, caused by two unscrupulous criminals.
Two ruthless Wall Street financiers, Jay Gould and Jim Fisk, worked together to buy up as much as they could of the nation’s gold, to drive the price sky-high and sell it for huge profits.
But on that Friday, the conspiracy collapsed and the market went into free fall and bankrupted everyone from Wall Street bankers to farmers.
Conspiracy: James Fisk Jr (left) and Jay Gould (centre) built people's fortunes - but lost it all Another Black Friday, January 31 1919, refers to the Battle of George Square in Glasgow - one of the most intense riots in the city's history.
The dispute revolved around a campaign for shorter working hours, backed by widespread strike action.
Dozens were injured, and as a result the working day was shortened.
24th September 1869: Panic on 'Black Friday' in the New York Gold Room It has also been used to refer to bad days of battle in the Second World War, devastating Australian bush fires and a peaceful protest in Malé, the capital of the Maldives, which saw police firing teargas on protesters.
More famously, it was the day in November 1910 when hundreds of suffragettes marched on Parliament in peaceful protest and were assaulted and arrested by police. (Mirror UK)

Ben Heine (born 12 June 1983) is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist. Starting as a painter and political cartoonist, he became more widely known in 2011 for his "Pencil vs Camera" and "Digital Circlism" projects. Heine has a degree in journalism (Brussels – Belgium) and made his Masters' final assignment on the "limits of freedom of speech in political cartoons" (2007).
As a political cartoonist, Heine received some criticism for his views on the Middle Eastern political situation and specifically some images about Israel and Zionism. Heine has stopped doing political art since 2009. Heine has briefly studied painting and sculpture in Hastings, England, but considers himself a self-taught artist in drawing and photography(The D-Photo). Heine's "Pencil vs Camera" artwork is so far his most widely published work
Pencil vs camera: The idea of mixing drawing with photography came to him in 2010. Heine says it was the result of a long graphic exploration and a logic consequences of his artistic evolution.
"Pencil vs Camera" mixes drawing and photography imagination and reality, through illusion and surrealism. In this project, Heine's usually focuses on architecture, portraits and animals. Among many others, the main themes approached in "Pencil Vs Camera" are love and friendship.
Heine says: "I just make art for people. I want them to dream and forget their daily troubles. I used to write poems many years ago, I want to convey a poetic meaning into my pictures, each new creation should tell a story and generate an intense emotion, like a poem, like a melody" This series had a large impact on the graphic design community. Heine says the initial idea of this "Pencil Vs Camera" concept came by coincidence while he was writing a letter. Some of his "Pencil vs Camera" creations have also been related to optical illusions.
We’ve seen the Ukrainian “human Barbies” before — one of whom was a little spacey and claimed to subsist only on air — as well as the “human Ken dolls” who underwent extensive plastic surgery to emulate the toned, plastic-like bodies of male dolls. But there’s a new human Barbie out there, and this one turns to the gym and weight room to mold herself into her ideal appearance.
Julia Vins, who defines herself as an athlete on her Facebook, is 18 years old and a bodybuilder — with the face of a Barbie doll. Pretty and blonde with luscious lips, you might be surprised to find that Vins threw aside the typical skinny girl image for a bulky frame, with muscles bigger than most guys.
“People know me as ‘muscle Barbie’ — I like this comparison,” she said. “I have these big, beautiful eyes and wear make-up. But at the same time, I’m strong. I can dead lift 180kg (397 pounds) in training. I want to become as big as possible.”
Julia began lifting at age 15 after living most of her life as a slender girl. She then started training with a coach for three to five hours per day, four days a week. Julia eats five to six small meals throughout the day, usually involving eggs, chicken, cheese, rice, and vegetables. In August 2014, Julia participated in the World Powerlifting Championships in Moscow and won, achieving three world records in the squat, bench press, and dead lift. Her achievements in weight-lifting have led her to become confident in her identity.
“What is my inspiration? I just love it,” Vins said in a video. She does it “not to get ahead of someone, because I do it for myself. I like to do it, so I do not have to force myself or get motivation from outside. For me, a workout is not just a hobby, it’s part of my life.”
Lionel Messi, Carli Lloyd named world's top soccer players

Portugal captain Ronaldo, 30, scored 57 goals in as many games in 2015 - including a record 16 in the Champions League - but that was not enough to win him Ballon d'Or number four.
Barcelona striker Neymar, 23, was the first Brazilian to finish in the top three since Kaka won the 2007 award. He scored 45 goals in 62 games and is joint top scorer in this season's La Liga with 15, level with team-mate Luis Suarez.

None of the shortlisted trio had won the award before.
Lloyd said: "It has been a dream ever since I started with the national team. Keep your dreams and just go after them."
Fifa/Fifpro World XI Real Madrid had as many players as Barcelona, four, in the world team of the year despite not winning a trophy.

World coach of the year - men's football Barcelona coach Luis Enrique won the world coach of the year award after leading his side to five of the six trophies on offer in 2015, including the Champions League, La Liga and the Copa del Rey. He beat Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola, who was second, and Chile's Copa America-winning coach Jorge Sampaoli to the award.
World coach of the year - women's football United States coach Jill Ellis was named women's football world coach of the year after leading her country to World Cup glory in the summer.
England coach Mark Sampson finished third with 10.68% of the vote after their third-place finish in Canada. Second was Japan coach Norio Sasaki, whose side beat England in the semi-finals, but lost to USA in the final.
"It is a true honour," said Ellis. "To Fifa, to our own federation, thank you for your belief, your vision and your investment in women's football."
Puskas award - goal of the year Atletico Goianiense's Wendell Lira won the goal of the year award for a spectacular overhead kick in Brazil's Goiano state league game against Goianesia.

Fair play award Former Leeds and South Africa captain Lucas Radebe announced the winner of this year's fair play award - all football clubs and organisations supporting refugees. There was no shortlist for this award.
How does voting work? Journalists, national team coaches and captains vote for their top three in all categories, apart from the Puskas and fair play ones.
They select their first, second and third choice for each award, with five, three and one points given to each place respectively.
The winner is the person with the most points. In the event of a tie, it goes to the player or coach with the most first places.
The Puskas award, for the "most beautiful goal" of 2015, is voted for by users of the Fifa and France Football websites.
Through everything in John McGraw's life during the past two decades, there has been one constant: He knows he will be in the infield of Churchill Downs on the first Saturday in May.
McGraw, a photographer and CNN iReporter from East Lansing, Michigan, went to his first Kentucky Derby when he was 20, tagging along with some older friends who were really into horses. They drove down for the day -- and he was hooked.
"I also like to gamble, but it turned into more than just that," said McGraw, 39. "I just fell in love with the atmosphere."
The 2014 event will be McGraw's 20th Kentucky Derby in a row. Most years, he attends the races with a group of 10 to 30 people and camps out 20 minutes south of Louisville.
He'll be among upward of 70,000 fans in the infield, which the Derby's official website says is "an experience of acceptable excess and is forgivably risque." Fans with a little more money to spend who want a better view buy tickets to the grandstand, clubhouse or pricier seats.
"I do take photos of the grandstands and stuff like that, but in general, the hats, something draws me to them," he said. "It reminds me of a time gone by. When you look at old photos of the early 1900s, all the women wore hats, and all the guys wore hats as well." (CNN)

This week the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update list expands with a number of Samsung Galaxy devices - and Tabs, too. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the oldest member of the Marshmallow update list we're looking at today, while the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 are also, of course, on the drawing board. These updates come not long after a video showing the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using the update was leaked - or rather filmed and released before Samsung sent out the update themselves - so we're fairly confident this list is going to be able to be fulfilled.
Below you're going to see the first video showing what the creator of said video suggests is Android 6.0 Marshmallow on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Inside you'll find that the TouchWiz is quick and the Android is ready to roll. Flexibility is upgraded, and the Screen Off Memo is ready to roll.
The list you're about to see comes from SamsungViet via SamMobile. While we're not 100% certain about the original source being 100% legitimate, the list itself is extremely close to what we've seen in the past from confirmed sources, and - if you've followed the trends - can be linked to past tendencies and update schedules well and above enough. • Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - Q1, 2016 • Samsung Galaxy Note Edge - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Duos - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S6 - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S5 - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S5 NEO - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A - Q1 • Samsung Galaxy Alpha - Q2 • Samsung Galaxy Tab A - Q2 • Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 - Q2 • Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 - Q2
You can also expect that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow or above. We're to understand that Samsung will reveal the Samsung Galaxy S7 within the first quarter of 2016, where Marshmallow abilities will be played up - along with new features in TouchWiz as well.

Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn have been publicly dating for about four months now. As for marriage, though, that isn't in the cards, Vonn revealed on Wednesday in a Vogue article.
"(Mixing love and business) definitely did not work for me, and I would not recommend it. I would also not recommend getting married," said Vonn, who like Woods has been married before. She divorced her former coach and former Olympic skier, Thomas Vonn, in January. She and Woods announced their relationship in March.
When asked if she ever would consider getting remarried, Vonn replied: "No thanks. I am definitely not getting married. To anyone.”
Vonn also talked about how she and Woods met. The two hit it off at a charity event in 2012, and what was initially a long-distance friendship evolved into much more.
“We immediately clicked, you know? It was just one of those things," Vonn said. “We talked a lot, corresponded a lot, and he was a good friend who was always there. And then it became more.”
Vonn has been on hand at several of Woods' tournaments so far this season, including this week at Muirfield, where Woods is trying to win his first major since the 2008 US Open. And although she's no stranger to the spotlight, Vonn has had to get used to the increased attention that comes with being Woods' girlfriend.
“Tiger’s fame is obviously in the extreme, the amount of scrutiny that he’s constantly under,” Vonn said. “But that’s the thing: It all comes back to being happy. It doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks; do what you love to do and be happy and that’s it.”
