The Incredible Trevi Fountain in Rome

The Incredible Trevi Fountain in Rome | World Geography | Scoop.it

The Trevi Fountain is Rome’s largest Baroque fountain that has inspired the minds of so many.

The primary figure of Trevi Fountain is Neptune, the god of the sea. Neptune rides a chariot that’s shaped like a shell and is pulled by two sea horses. A Triton guides each of the sea horses. The water at the bottom of the gorgeous fountain represents the sea. The statue on the right hand side of Neptune represents Salubrity. On the left is a statue that represents Abundance.

Enchanting Tuscany Landscapes

Enchanting Tuscany Landscapes | World Geography | Scoop.it

Bosnian photographer Adnan Bubalo says “weather” and “atmospheric conditions” are two “crucial” elements to his photography, especially in his series of ethereal landscapes of Tuscany.
“Atmospheric conditions, changing the quality and intensity of available light, creates the scenery,” explained Bubalo in an interview with Weather.com.
Bubalo prefers shooting right before sunrise, stating that regardless of what time of year it is it still provides the best backdrop.  But in his Tuscany series, he explains that achieving the right colors was a little bit of being in the right place at the right time.

The light in Italy is one of its unique qualities that add to its overall beauty.  I have always thought maybe it has something to do with Italy being a peninsula the reflection from the water adds to the spectacular atmosphere. This creates the fabulous light that you'll enjoy not only in Tuscany but many of the Italian regions and of course in Venice, Florence, and Rome which are all close to the sea. Also with the kids off school for the long summer holidays, a vacation to a sunny beach or all-inclusive hotel with large outdoor pools and specialised tours can be just the thing to create great memories and enhance family bonding.

However, summer in the Caribbean is also considered to be hurricane season and many travelers do think twice about taking a vacation to the region at a perceived time of risk.
