The other day my server went down along with all of my websites and hosted email. Ouch doesn’t begin to describe my panic. I rely on my websites and email to just work (doesn’t everyone?). If I had had uptime monitoring in place to alert me when things went pear-shaped, I could have acted quicker to resolve things, but it wasn’t until my email stopped working that I realized something was wrong and I investigated and subsequently discovered what had happened.
