I'be always thought Wordpress can be used as a content curation tool as blog posts can sign post students to learning resources elsewhere on the web. This plugin looks like it will make this even easier.
Currently I’m involved in a small project of creating a website for distance learning. Having tinkered with WordPress for a while, I don’t have any second thoughts in deciding what the platform of the site should be.

So as the title of this post asks, do you think we should try and hold some sort of UK WordPress in education event? Would you be interested, would you come? There is a JISC WordPress listserv but it has very little activity. There are growing numbers of individuals and organisations using WordPress in UK education, there are annual Blackboard user meetings and Moodle meetings and although there is annual UK Wordcamp there’s not an educational event.
This plugin is a modified plugin based on a couple of other wordpress plugins – in fact my idea was to simplify and just remove features that are not needed. I created a quick Podcast on installing and using the plugin. My idea is that this could be useful in a situation with mobile labs, computer labs, or even ipads. Teacher creates a quick survey, or quick quiz, or even a formal for grade assessment. The Student can then take the quiz using an iPad quickly visit an instructors site – take a quick or survey and would get instant feedback.
