I learned that women were working in the factories and was doing men jobs why they was at war.Women gave their sons, husbands, fathers, and brothers to the war effort. they gave their time and energy, and some even gave up their lives. I learned that when the war began teenagers married their sweet hearts before their men went over seas.While men was fighting in the war women on the home front in defense plants and were managing to maintain their house holds. I learned that women in uniform took office and clerical jobs in the armed forces to free men to fight. I learned that at the war's end women wanted too keep their jobs and many were forced to quit due to men coming back home. When men left women became  proficient cooks and housekeepers, managed the finances, they also drove trucks, repaired airplanes, worked as laboratory technicians, rigged parachutes, served as radio operators.

This picture tells me that while the men was at war the women had to take their spot and do the mens job. This picture shows that women was doing all the reparing and work while the men was at war. I see rosie rivter  kneeling on ground, facing front, wearing helmet and goggles. welding something.
