Woman in the military first started in Worlds War 2, the first thing they where used at was nurses, laundry people and cooks. But they couldn’t be on any front line jobs before world war 2. Then they started to find the ladies dead and they wasn’t even on first line duties. The first front lite duty jobs females had was being in the marines. The marines had a separate little group for woman when they first joined the marines military. When woman where able to join the military in world war 2 it helped the army out because they had more people to help them fight the war. Woman in the military was also important because they needed woman to still do woman jobs like do laundry and cook and be nurses. But it was also a bad thing because woman aren’t as strong as men and I know some men in the army had a problem trusting woman with they life so that caused if more problems.
Seventeen brigade combat teams are placing women in combat-related jobs as part of the Defense Department's ongoing effort to open all military jobs to women.
Tyjuan Whytus's insight:
This document from 2013 relates to my “woman in the military” topic because its basically telling you that they were going to open positions up for woman to join the military. But back in World War II when woman could first join the military they only had certain jobs woman could do in the military. The few jobs they could have was doing laundry, cooking, being a nurse, and water bearers. They couldn’t have any front line time in the war. But then they where able to have front line war after they started finding the woman dead.
