want to make clear that we're defintenly not coming from a women as inferior perspective, it's important that our concerns about female vulnerability to radiation aren't misunderstood as female inferiroty, these biological differences are important because there is still much gender inequality in the social context where decisions that affect womens health are made.

age and gender are both risk factors for radiation so our most vulnerable our a baby daughters, an female infant is seven times more vulnerable to radiation than a 30 yr old male, whilst a female child is twice as vulnerable to a same-age boy.

we've incuded this one because what it demonstrates is not that connection that many men like to try and make with being female and scientific aptitude. What it does demonstrate is the link between boys/men outperforming girls/women and the degree of inequality in that society.
