How Well Do You Know Your Customers? [Infographic] | Live Connection | Winning Digital Strategies | Scoop.it

Marty Note
This is a great infographic and article. We all always know the rules of the road for great customer service, but it never hurts to re-read, re-learn and re-commit to these essential values. In a moment a negative message can fly around the world, so we bet the house every time we engage and that is just the nature of the poker we are playing. Make sure and KNOW THAT and REMIND EVERYONE that today's world loves love and hates arrogance, hubris and frat boy behavior.

The Engagement Marketing Cycle

The Engagement Marketing Cycle | Winning Digital Strategies | Scoop.it

Engagement marketing refers to the marketing strategy of directly involving the customers in a relationship with the brand.

For small and medium businesses, engagement marketing is especially important, as so much of their business comes from repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals.

The new book, written by Constant Contact CEO Gail F. Goodman, centres around the Engagement Marketing Cycle, a three-step approach to driving word-of-mouth referrals and turning them into socially visible, public endorsements that bring new customers to a SME’s door:

In Chapter 1 of Gail outlines The Engagement Marketing Cycle.

What is the Engagement Marketing Cycle? It's 3 steps to help you get repeat business.

 The steps are:

1. Provide a WOW! Experience - When  a customer walks into your business, make that an experience one they'll remember.

2. Entice people to keep in touch - Keep the experience going even after they've left your business.

3. Engage people through content that inspires sharing - Once you've created the relationship, make sure you nurture it.

“SMEs are customer-centric by their very nature and many see the majority of their revenue come from repeat sales. For them, Engagement Marketing is simply growing the 99% of their business that comes from repeat sales and word-of-mouth referrals – and when done properly, this can be a huge source of new customers.” Tamsin Fox-Davies

Based on her book this Infographic explains why engagement marketing is important, and how social media tools can make it easier.

Great Infographic I should have included in Top 10 Landing Page Secrets.

Rebel Dekadance 's curator insight, December 14, 2012 3:46 AM

I would love to see the compiled data concerning these challenging aspects of online registratoin forms - (simply just the worst of the worst in my opinion haha)

I COMPLETELY agree with what was stated above - NOTHING irritates me more than when a website asks me immediately to sign up and fill out a form - I mean DAMN can I atleast see if it would be worth my while first?  It comes off as cold, unfriendly, to 'corportae-like' (meaning they don't care about you just getting your info)

Awesome stats in this as well!  Definitely a great read.

Online Orphans The Rise of Shopping Cart Abandonment The Importance of Analyzing Order Fulfillment Challenges Any company with an ecommerce website...

Marty Note
One day right around this time of year I realized there was a business as large as the one I was managing out there in the ether. Our shopping cart abandonment could get as high as 64%. At that level the money lost is greater than the money we were making. Bringing customers back with emails and special offers has come a long way, but we have some hard road to travel yet.

We need to understand WHY shopping carts get abandoned. This infographic helps define the sources for the most common drops. Lucky, as is usually the case, many of these problems are simple fixes, small tweaks that could make a BIG difference in your website's money to the back and recovery from shopping cart abandonment.
