For your Christmas celebrations we suggest you taste one of these three extraordinary dessert wines from Le Marche.
- Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Passito DOC "Re Sole" Mancinelli
- Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Passito - Conti di Buscareto
- Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Passito - Lucchetti
The grapes of 100% of native clone of Lacrima di Morro d'Alba are picked at the end of September near the village of Morro d’Alba, collected in small cases and shrivelled until the next February. Grapes hung for around 4 months, to dry. Dried grapes are then pressed and the juice fermented with skins for two weeks. The wine is aged in barrels and matured in bottle.
The color is intense ruby red with purple highlights, thick
The fragrance is very intense and persistent, floreal, with hints of rose, with violet notes and soft fruits typical of Lacrima.
Mature jam and with shades of vanilla from ageing in wood
The taste is full bodied, round and persistent, lot of sweet and velvety fruits with a long, elegant and intense finish. Clean, dry sweetness but not cloying.
Correct balance between Lacrima’s bitterness and the sweetness of dessert wine.
This wine is better served with desserts made with dark chocolate, almond pastries at the temperature of 14-16° C
