This 2011 is a special wine from a year most noteworthy for its very dry and hot August and September. The abnormal heat gave us beautifully healthy grapes but the sugar content due to evaporation inside the grapes was high. The heady perfumes of peach and tropical fruits are your first indication this is a special wine. It is very well balanced and complex and matches up well with white meats or can be enjoyed on its own. Alcohol content: 15.5% vol.

Vernaccia di Serrapetrona D.O.C.G. Dry, Gianfelici | Wines and People | Scoop.it

Dry vernaccia, obtained from 50% of dried grapes. This wine is made up of 85% of homonymous grapes, whose 40% slightly dried which is grown up in vineyards at an altitude of 700 metres and exposed to the sun with a maximum amount of 100 quintal per hectare, while the other 15% is made up of other grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Ciliegiolo.
Appearance: red foam; persistent perlage.
Colour: red with purplish nuances.
Perfume: ripe fruit, jam, red dried flowers, spices.
Flavour: pleasant, savoury, velvety tannins. Slightly bitter aftertaste.
It offers harmony, rarely found in the few red sparkling wines.
Alcohol: 11,50% vol.
Temperature: Dry Vernaccia is served at a temperature of 8°-10° C.
Pairings: Vernaccia goes well with desserts, in particular biscuits and pastries without filling. Dry Vernaccia goes well with sharp cheese but also with some meat recipes such as boiled meat with fruit mustard.

Alcohol Content: 13,50% Vol.
Grape Variety: 100% Pecorino
Ageing Process in Barrels: min. 6 months
Colour: Intense straw-yellow with noticeable golden nuances, rich and bright taste
Bouquet: Intense and sweet notes of ripe yellow fruit and yellow small roses with vanilla flavour, the olfactory spectrum is medium complex and refined.
Taste: It is dry, warm, soft, fresh and full-flavoured, with the same vanilla flavours as the direct scent.
Food to serve with: The wine is mature and ideal with elegant and spicy fish dishes, roast white meats and semi-mature cheese
Temperature: To be served at 12°-14°C in large glasses

Organic wine “DONNA ORGILLA” name derived from the wife of the old feudatory of Cossignano village.
The FIORANO farm produces this particular white wine which is obtained from indigenous Pecorino grapes, a very old vine of the Picenum province of Marche region. From 2011 Pecorino wines is a DOCG wine. The high total acidity and high sugar concentration give this wine a special structure.
Organically produced grapes. The vineyards are grass covered all year round and fertilized by leguminous cover crops and organic fertilizer.
Grapes hand-picked in crates and crushed and stemmed immediately. Light pressing of the bunches, must at the controlled temperature <10°C. Cold maceration for <18 h. Matured with sediment in steel stainless tank with indigenous selected yeasts for 6 months, refined in bottles for 2/4 months.
Sensory profile Straw yellow colour with hints of green. White pulp fruits aroma, with citrus notes. Good acidity, mineral, sapid with great persistence and harmony. Light filtration before bottling.

Pale yellow and a good consistency. It presents fruity aromas of peach and apricot along with yeasts. Outstanding floral sensations of hawthorn, acacia and well-defined broom. Soft and well structured, it shows typicalities of Verdicchio: sapidity, acidity and a bitter aftertaste. Good general balance and a not too dry end due to the slightly late harvest. Perfect with main courses of fish, especially fatty fish like salmon, turbot and monkfish. It can still be nicely paired with white meat. Alcohol content 13,5 % vol. Temperature of service 12° C

Tenuta Santori is a certified organic farm of Ripatransone, in the heart of the Piceno hills.
It is a young and active farm which looks into the future though keep its roots in a tradition which belongs to a land where wine has always been good.
There are about thirty hectares where olive trees and vineyards are cultivated following strictly the guidelines of the organic farming and where native grape varieties of this area are selected such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Pecorino, Passerina and Trebbiano.
