David Swaddle's insight:

Beer makes us happy!

It's official, just the taste of beer makes us happy, even if the alcohol is removed. It gets us wagging our tails just like Pavlov's puppies.

Has anyone done a similar experiment with wine? It'd be interesting to know if alcohol is a more vital component of the experience, seeing as there's 3 times as much present. I volunteer to take part.

The full sensory experience. I want to eat here!

The full sensory experience. I want to eat here! | Wine in the World |

Dinner at the Shanghai restaurant Ultraviolet sounds like the full sensory experience.

Guests are driven to the windowless venue from another meeting spot by two vans. Once seated their 22 banquet is matched with sound effects, light projections and wine (of course).

Our full sensual experience massively influences our experience of food and wine, so this sounds like the perfect way to enjoy an amazing meal.

I really want to eat here, it's just a little bit far from home. Anyone want to have a crack a doing a pop-up in Sydney along the same lines???
