Hunting essays (on line book or essay)

Hunting essays Since the beginning of history, man has hunted animals for food to live and to utilized other parts for clothing and other essential reasons. In this modern world men still hunt animals for food but also for sport. The question is, has hunting become or has always been a blood sport
Keith Mack's insight:

Mega Essay. Hunting. 2002. web. http://www.megaessays.com/viewpaper/1027.html

"Hunting is an essays about the history of hunting. I choose this essay because he covers all the aspect. He covers from it being a sport all the way to it being a way of survival. Hunting is a very bias sport. He says when you thin of hunting you think about a man taming a beast. More then likely a man killing a animal and using holding it above his head. At the end of the essay he also says that the sport is not a sport after all. You live from hunting. You eat the meat, use the fur to stay warm in the winters when the cold is to much to bare and for some animals like pigs you use the fat as wax to burn fire more slowly. It becomes who you and what you represent just like rick bass. Bass tells on how hunting is indeed fun but also life top him and the rest of his neighbor because if they do not hunt they do not eat. And if they do not eat they will eventually starve and die.

Famous Essay On Hunting, The Killing Game....(blog) | Is Hunting Destroying Mother Earth? | Scoop.it

Keith Mack's insight:

Williams, Joy. Howling for justice, Blogging for the gray wolfe, Word Press. 2010. Web. http://howlingforjustice.wordpress.com/2011/10/04/famous-essay-on-hunting-the-killing-game/

The blog called "Howling for Justice" is based on stories of hunters who tell their experiences while they hunt. These stories portray to rick bass story because it tells on how they do their hunting and why they hunt. They do not hunt because they have to. They hunt because they have no other choice if they want to live. They talk about how killing the animal is only one part of hunting for them. Hunting has a lot to do observing the nature. Hunters spend countless hours learning the woods walking through nature and discovering things. One blog goes on to saying hunting is how cures are made. If you go hunting and you scroll upon some leaf that bring down swellings or cure sickness it would be a mariacle. now imagine if a lot of people did not go hunting. A lot of people would be dead today if not for hunters.

My Image

My Image | Is Hunting Destroying Mother Earth? | Scoop.it
Keith Mack's insight:

I pick this image because i am talking about mother nature. And not just america. In this photo it explains what rick bass was saying. They hunt for survival and without survival they will die. Just like rick bass but in a different setting. Without being in the mountains they are in a safari. As you see the father is taking his child out hunting with him. this is not a game to them. it is survival. And if they do not learn how to survive then they will starve and if they starve they will die.

Does Hunting Help or Hurt the Environment?(newpaper article)

Does Hunting Help or Hurt the Environment?(newpaper article) | Is Hunting Destroying Mother Earth? | Scoop.it
The answer to this question depends on who is asked
Keith Mack's insight:

Davis, Bill. Does Hunting Help or Hurt the Environment? New York, 2009. Print. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/earth-talks-hunting/

"Does hunting Help or Hurt the Evironment" is a article written on on exactly what it says. They say the question is Bias. It depends on who you ask. most people according to the article believes that hunting is bad. It has not always been like that because 78 percent of america was for hunting in 1995. And now it has reduce to only 16 percent in 2007. what changed? according to the paper they believe that the new generation of the world is the problem of why the numbers dropped. People are becoming vegetarians and vegans and trying to preserve the wildlife because it is endangered so to speak which is not the case. But the news paper does fight back with one paticular responce at the end of the last paragraph. they do pro for hunting but only for survival or to lower the population around certain areas not just for game because thats how they become extinct.

What is The Nature Conservancy's position on hunting and fishing?
Keith Mack's insight:

The Nature Conservancy. What is the N.C position on hunting and fishing. 2013.web  http://www.nature.org/member-care/what-is-the-nature-conservancys-position-on-hunting-and-fishing.xml

"What is the N.C. position on hunting and fishing caught me by surprise. normally the nature conservancy is all about preserving plants and animals that are going extinct. They did not picks sides on whether hunting was good or bad. the reason why i pick this for one of my sources is because of the view point of the conservancy."Our primary focus has always been to protect the entire spectrum of native biological diversity. We do not encourage hunting or fishing on the majority of conservation sites that we own or manage. At the same time, when these activities are carried out within the guidelines of applicable state and federal laws, we would not oppose those who wish to take part in them",(1st paragraph). I like that they simply say that they are not for or against it because they know that this is some people way of living and surviving. If the Conservancy is not against it then who are?

Hunting(my Choice)

Hunting(my Choice) | Is Hunting Destroying Mother Earth? | Scoop.it
Hunting is a cruel outdated sport that endangers the lives of many unwilling animal participants. Learn how you can fight against hunting happening in your area.
Keith Mack's insight:

P.E.T.A. Hunting the issues. Norfolk, VA 2014. web. http://www.peta.org/issues/animals-in-entertainment/cruel-sports/hunting/

"Hunting"  talks about the different issues on way hunting is bad. Rick Bass did not think that hunting was bad, but i would like to shine a different point of view and not just go in one direction. This organization describe what the animals point of view instead of hunters. They say that hunting should be a thing of the past. That is not something that has  to be done but something that people want to do for fun, harassing animals that is. If you do not have to do it then why do it. They also stress that bow hunting is the worst of all. It does not kill the animal. It leaves the animal wounded and having do go through a lot of pain. They believe that this is an issue concerning our extinction of animals and need to be addressed immediately.

The Future of Hunting Is In Danger (Scholarly journal)

The Future of Hunting Is In Danger (Scholarly journal) | Is Hunting Destroying Mother Earth? | Scoop.it
The year is 2015 and after years of debate among conservation organizations, pro-hunting organizations, animal rights activists and antihunting groups, all forms of hunting in the United States have been banned by the federal government. Is this a real possibility?
Keith Mack's insight:

Stevens, Russell. The Future of Hunting Is in Danger. The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation. 2009. web. http://www.noble.org/ag/wildlife/futurehunting/

This Scholarly Article "The Future of Hunting is in Danger" is about the privileged activity being lost forever as and way of life. The journal talks about how the activity will be lost cause of the different right activists that protest and try to get it banned form the law because it is not preserving the wildlife. and eventually the animals will become extent. Just like rick bass said they are not killing anything that is not for survival. They are against hunting for the game but for the furs and meat just like rick bass. The pro hunters have been debating with right activist for years. They are arguing whether the United states should ban huntingforgood. they stress to say that simply cant because that is how people eat. That is the source of food and if that is gone then they will perish and starve. and that is unacceptable and not constitutional.

Is hunting good or bad? Your ancestors done it.(video)

In my opinion hunting to live and eat is nothing to be ashamed of nor is it a bad thing, Hunting for sport however is....I pay respects and offerings to that...
Keith Mack's insight:

the Universal teaching. "Is Hunting Good or Bad? Your Ancestors done it" 2012. youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoVJ2P31HZI

Okay so this video of off youtube  and it the positive side of hunting. This boy and rick bass has the exact same point of view and see eye to eye. The boy talks about why he hunt and how it something that he loves to do. He does not go hunting for sport but for survival. When goes hunting he is one with the earth and lives off it as well as many people do around him. Most of his neighbors either have farms or the go hunting. He goes on to say that there are grocery stores where he live, but a lot of people do not have the luxury of affording the foods that's in there. He says if your a vegetarian or vegan he is not knocking you, but he expects the same from you because he cant be vegetarian because of where he lives. He does eat beans for protein if he does not want to eat meat but thats it. He also talks about how religion takes part of his way of life. He offers things to the animals before he hunted once and that hunting season was a really well for him. Huntung is his life and tells how anybody who goes hunting for sport is misusing the land. He does not like any part of that sport because its an option but for him its not.
