Very cool TedX speech. Unfortunately there are few solutions in it but some very good explanations of why we often don't change our behaviors/habits.  Perhaps the solutions are up to us.  We each need our unique bad habit stoppers?

Josh Linkner's Blog: Stop Apologizing | Who I Am, Who I'll Be | Scoop.it
Deborah Orlowski, Ph.D.'s insight:

An eye opening question from Josh. "If we can accept that industry titans and Olympic athletes have flaws, why is it so difficult to accept our own?" Or take it down a notch...why can we accept our friends/family aren't perfect but when it comes to ourselves. Basically we seem to be able to deal with the flaws of others but for some reason believe we are immune from it ourselves.  Ain't true!

Young Spirits's curator insight, April 9, 7:06 PM

What's the key to success? Greg McKeown, a talented young author from the San Francisco Bay Area, argues that it's merely a matter of mind state. The most successful people are those who are absurdly selective and who focus on what they can do better, regardless of what the outside world thinks or does. McKeown chooses the term 'essentialism' to describe this attitude to life – and he even wrote a book about the subject: http://tinyurl.com/nrq77u4.
