Don't let the name fool you.  This multimedia tool functions like a slide show but so much more.  Uploading images, video, text, recordings, etc and integrating them into a slide show is only the first step.  Others can log in to view the presentation.  Throughout the slide presentation, viewers can post comments via text, recording, video, etc. making this tool extremely collaborative.  Some uses for this tool include critiques, reflections, project collaboration, topic discussions, and presentations.

Creating your own avitar.  What kid, or adult for that matter, doesn't like creating a virtual self?  The ability to create a  speaking avitar is an excellent resource that can motivate students to participate, improve communication and help introduct technology to students who are novices.  There is also a text-to-speech in 25 + languages so the language learner and stduent with a speech disability could benefit in a multitude of ways.

This is a fun and easy to use tool for students to create unique comic strips.  Decisions are made by the user on the character image and various props can be added to scenes.  Using a word bubble, students then write what the character is saying or thinking.  This media can be a fun creative tool for students to demonstrate their learning in a novel way.  Comic strips that are created on this site can be printed.

With a variety of resources on this serach engine, movice or advanced learners can access material in a safe manner.   This tool would be excellent for teaching students how to identify authentic material online.  The engine spams sites that are low in academic rigor which can benefit the student who is conducting reserach and doesn't have the time to review every document or site that pops up.

The content can be similar but the methods for students to learn the content can be adjusted for the UDL environment.

As a former history teacher, l love using this resource.  Teachers can get creative in how they have students interact with and utilize this tool.  It can be used as a source of information or students can create timelines of their learning or about the content that are learning.  This can be done independently or in cooperative groups.  Once the timeline is posted, students can view others and learn from them, critique them and edit to make improvements based on feedback.

An actual multiple choice test, and two games that reinforce the teacher created content are part of quizlet as well.  Students could also be taught how to create tests and materials to help them imporve their learning.
