Eric Jason Holganza's insight:

Currently our system is offering Data for our LTE only, when can this technology upgrade will come?  I am speaking in behalf to our network here in Etisalat in the UAE.  What will this VoLTE offer compared to 3G's voice over ip tech? There are plentyful of Voice Apps for Smartphones and Tablets now a days.  To name a few, we have Skype, Viber, Google Talk and others.  All of it passes through VoIP on 3G network.  Admittedly as tried on the current network,  there are lags and vagueness on the voice quality during the conversations made.  But maybe, the QoS experienced was affected due to high voice/data traffic on the cell serving my smartphone.   I haven't tried yet this apps on LTE network.  Need to upgrade my mobile with LTE network capabilities.   It is be expected that it should be better on the LTE network.  Well, VoLTE might also address this case.   I was wondering what will the structure for this.
