Jazmin Reyes's insight:

Hollywood is filled with thousands of people everyday and safety is really important. Especially with public transportation. Hollywood is one of the biggest tourist attractions there is in California. Safety is important and I think that stepping up our security would be good. It can reduce safety issues.

The Rising Cost of Not Going to College - PEW research

The Rising Cost of Not Going to College - PEW research | What is going on in the world? | Scoop.it
For those who question the value of college in this era of soaring student debt and high unemployment, the attitudes and experiences of today’s young adults—members of the so-called Millennial generation—provide a compelling answer.

Jazmin Reyes's insight:

Reading the title of this article was enough for me to keep on reading. This article relates to me and to everyone else that are in college right now or are planning to go too college soon. Things aren't as they used to be were we can find a job without an education and still make a living for ourselves and our families. Jobs expect more and more as the years go on and clearly not going to college is a big affect. A college degree and a high school degree can make a difference in a certain job position we want. College is very important and it will continue to be like that as the years go on.

Jazmin Reyes's insight:

I believe with the technology that we have today people with autism are able to expand there knowledge more than what they can. Here's the news release from Metro: To reduce fare evasion on the Orange Line, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (...

Via VICASFV
Jazmin Reyes's insight:

I believe this is something important to read because a lot of people use public transportation. Public transportation is one of the biggest ways we get around when we don't have a car, or when it convenient to save gas, and when we just want to use. Public transportation prices rose with in the last couple of years. Increasing prices may affect how many people use it now or it may increase the number of people who use it if prices go down. I believe this is something to look into especially the way the economy is.

RT @BostonChildrens: How parents can keep their teen driver's eyes off her phone and on the road: http://t.co/EVM7o5nFyH

Via David Bobrosky
Jazmin Reyes's insight:

I believe this article makes sense when it says that we need to get teens focused on the road and not on there phones. Being on our phones is a big distraction even when we are walking. This is the number one reason why we have a high rate of car accidents especially when teens first start to drive. It is not fair for anyone to die by a car accident and people need to be aware of there surroundings.
