Can share experience. We did an event where we put our team in a middle of an orchestra, doing a rehearsal. Was a magic moment in terms od emotion, but also key to understand each musician play without hearing all the other. Everytime, is the conductor who provides vision, direction and create the trust within this global body. That was very powerful to understand how conductor creates and rejevunate constantly trust within the orchestra, to go to something extraordinary that touched our hearts.

4 keys to choosing between HTML5 and native apps
SUMMARY: The choice between HTML5 and native app development doesn't have to be a stark either/or decision, writes Eric Savitz. Both approaches have their merits, so it's important to think carefully about what a particular project calls for and to stay abreast of new developments. "Continually reassess the state of HTML5-related technologies ... because the ecosystem is evolving at a rapid pace," Savitz writes.

Moving at the Speed of Creativity | Tutorial: Creating a Narrated Slideshow with ShowMe for iPad | Wepyirang | Scoop.it

By Wesley Fryer

"Yesterday I worked with a librarian who is going to help 4th and 5th grade students next week record “narrated slideshows” to practice their oral communication skills telling stories with “story cards” from different perspectives. (1st person singular, 1st person plural, 2nd person, 3rd person singular, etc.) This is an excellent Common Core-aligned language project. She helped me record a 4.5 minute video tutorial about this, in which I show the steps for creating a narrated slideshow using the free iPad app “ShowMe.” We recorded this with my iPhone, as I demonstrated the required steps on an iPad."

Abstract

The new European university context requires a methodological and evaluative shift towards active didactic, socio-constructive and investigative perspectives that are student-centred. This study describes the learning setting, the results and the conclusions of an innovative practical exercise carried out by first-year students on two different degree courses at an Andalusian university, using e-portfolios set up for group work and implemented through an edublog. The study's main aim is to establish the most significant achievements, problems and evidence that emerge from this didactic group project. The project includes the design and implementation of a multimedia educational material (MEM), and involves the students in didactic planning and self-assessment processes. The conclusions show that the e-portfolio is a didactic method that fully integrates teaching, learning and assessment into a continuum by allowing students to work together didactically on such aspects. This methodological alternative also greatly helps the lecturer in his/her understanding of the students' learning processes, the working methods of his/her classes, the problems associated with team working, the information sources that students use, and the tutoring and learning-assessment processes. Lastly, the e-portfolio enables the future social educators' levels of didactic comprehension and professional-competency acquisition to be gauged.

7 Tips to Beautiful PowerPoint -- Or how to tell compelling biz stories with PPT

Linda Dougherty's curator insight, October 12, 2013 10:14 AM

Have started showing students during Google presentation tutorials how to outline their presentations like they always do with those bulleted lines on the slides.  Then take those sentences, change them into titles, and put one title on each slide. Select one image per slide. If needed, add URL links. Add the works cited for the image in tiny print at the bottom of the slide. Move those outlined bulleted points to the note section or toss into a document to print out for a group presenetation.

No more slides crowded with text and 4 images! No more students sleeping in the classroom while their classmates read from the Smartboard.

Susan Daniels's curator insight, January 13, 2014 9:30 AM

This is a PowerPoint presentation that would have sent my former employers into shock. They had no imagination whatsoever. However, Eugene Cheng clearly has wonderful artistic skills and knows how to present them. In addition, he clearly has a nice budget to work with. These kind of beautiful graphics don't come at low price. I thoroughly enjoyed glancing through this presentation and plan to use it as inspiration for future projects.

Warmly,

My first reaction on reading the list of groups involved was negative. The University of Pheonix has a dog in this fight. They will want digital technologies to at the forefront. That is OK, but we need a balanced view of this emerging world and we need to question some of the views presented. We are not on the cusp of a relationship between humans and their digital tools. We have passed this cusp and each day we are in that emergent world. That kind of comment oversimplies a complex reality full of uncertainty.
