britishroses's insight:
65% of appeals are overturned, however putting our most vulnerable through all of this unwarranted stress and removing their means of getting to work and independence is not only inexcusable and inhumane, it is costing the taxpayers a fortune! Please sign the petition and write or call your MP and tell them how wrong and unacceptable it is to attack those most in need. Don't fall for their lies, manipulation of statistics and rhetoric, their treatment of disabled and or chronically sick  is unacceptable and has to STOP! Thank you.

The government hates me for being disabled - why aren't people fighting back?

The government hates me for being disabled - why aren't people fighting back? | Welfare, Disability, Politics and People's Right's | Scoop.it
As part of our Road to Wigan Pier 2017 project, 80 years on from the publication of George Orwell's essay, artist and activist Ann Whitehurst, accuses the government of marginalising people with disabilities and trying to dismantle the NHS
britishroses's insight:
It's shameful, disgraceful and terrifying how the country have chosen to wash their hands of our most vulnerable disabled and or chronically sick, while the government are closing down services they need and depend on, stopping or cutting their benefits, making them prisoners in their own homes, cold, hungry and isolated! Many have already lost their lives, there will be many more to come, but everyone can make a difference by calling or writing to your MP  or the PM, treating our most vulnerable like this is unacceptable and inhumane!
