britishroses's insight:
What the hell are you doing giving a heads up to allow more to flood into the country, we are full up, we are not taking care of our most vulnerable, our infrastructure is a disaster, our NHS is in desperate need of money and well paid frontline positions filled. The only people we should be letting in are highly qualified people who are needed and we need to train our own to do any and all jobs in this country eventually, at least the majority of those jobs. The world is a very dangerous place and will only get worse, we need to vet people and we need to require them to have sufficient medical insurance and that goes for all coming, it should be made the law when people book a holiday here they have to purchase medical insurance along with their visa!

britishroses's insight:
Mental health and all that falls under that umbrella and how such things as anxiety, panic attacks, autism, etc., affect a person's mental health is individual and has to be treated that way. The judges are there for a reason and they made the correct decision, they did not make the decision so that you can sneak out changes cutting even more from our most vulnerable. Treating the majority of our most vulnerable in the manner that you have and continue to do is unacceptable and punishing them because of a minority of crooks is wrong. How many more people have to die because of your welfare reforms and because you know better than the specialists that have diagnosed them to begin with? People with invisible disabilities deserve better!

Scrap the unjust Work Capability Assessment

Scrap the unjust Work Capability Assessment | Welfare, Disability, Politics and People's Right's | Scoop.it
Three judges have ruled that the procedure currently used by the Department for Work and Pension ( the Work Capability Assessment) to decide whether people are eligible for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) substantially disadvantages people with mental health problems, learning disabilities and autism. The judgement is the result of a judicial review.

The charities Rethink Mental Illness, Mind and The National Autistic Society intervened in the case to provide evidence based o
britishroses's insight:
Please sign and share, anyone at anytime can become chronically sick and or disabled and this assessment does NOT reflect a person's need, illness, disability and how it affects them; it is used as way of removing the lifeline of support that any person at any time could find themselves in need of. This is an excuse of taking support from our most vulnerable, the majority of whom are truly chronically sick and or disabled, it is only a minority who scam the system and there always will be people who scam the system; we can't allow this to continue, it is inhumane and shows a complete lack of empathy!
