In conclusion, the most valuable benefits of having a content strategy for your site is that, from a business standpoint, your site is no longer creating content for "content's sake" or to build "link bait." Moving forward, the site now has a framework of creating content that serves multiple purposes: to engage with current and future customers; to establish brand awareness and authority within the industry; and to consequently garner more traffic, conversions, and links to your site.

Nice way of seeing the usual funnel. Not that the funnel is real - and we have to remember that content, particularly, invites people to be in multiple different states at different times. But as a rough rule of thumb, nice.

Great infographic, though I disagree that Saturday tweets enjoy the highest engagement for B2B tweets. Three important takeaways for all businesses:

 

1.use a hashtag to experience two times more engagement but more than two will have the opposite effect

2. keep your tweets to under 100 characters for a 17% boost in engagement

3. to increase amplification ask followers to retweet or RT.

I learned a new term today - Omnichannel Loyalty (OCL). Omnichannel loyalty is "an enterprise-level initiative to drive, track, measure, and reward incremental behavior throughout the enterprise and customer experience," With OCL, companies engage customers with personalized messages at each touchpoint across various channels.

Most businesses ignore the big data needed to drive an OCL initiative. Only 10% of real-time is currently used today, which means a lot of missed opportunities. If companies really understood the imporatnace of giving customers - B2B or B2C - the right offer at the right time, they'd capture the information and gain insight as to when those times are. The result? Increased customer engagement and revenue opportunities in addition to loyalty. 


Inforgraphic nicely displays the cost of missed opportunities as well as where/how to capture the data. Though in my opinion the numbers are understated for both the old and young boomers who are engaged in tech buying decisions.
