Pavlos Nomikos's insight:

According to Skull Theatre, photogrammetry is “the process of creating a geometric representation of an object from photographs.” The team creates (or finds) props in the real world, photographs them from several angles using a custom-built lighting rig and stage, and then uses the freeware software 123D Catch to literally bring these objects into the Rustclad world.

Pavlos Nomikos's insight:

I believe personalisation must be the marketers dream these days, given that the consumer's experience on the Internet (e.g. Amazon) and social media today is much more personal by definition.

Its also nice to see that technological platforms today have matured to accomodate personalized on line experiences.

This article focuses on conversion rather than building traffic and the principles to gain an ROI out of personalisation.

Dick Cheuk's curator insight, December 27, 2012 2:41 PM

These three parts presentation slides show how organisations can better use social media to help their people sharing their knowledge.  One point I like about what they suggested is they see social media not as individual tool but a collective tools to do KM.  Some organisations use social media separately: a blog is a blog and a wiki is a wiki.  The power of social media only can be seen when they are used in a mix and match style that suit your needs.

The other important point they made is knowledge management is not about capturing knowledge and put it somewhere, but to connect the knowledge seekers and knowledge providers.  Knowledge is only valuable when being used.

There is so much more corporations can do to share knowledge. Sharing conversations using IM and private social media like Yammer is just the tip of the iceberg. Publishers allow search engines to index their content, which is used by the search engines as the core content they can put lucrative ads around.

In return, search engines have provided traffic to publishers and data on how those publishers are found. That latter part of the ‘deal’ was unilaterally pulled by Google.”""
