The rectangular slabs in our pockets could eventually be relegated to 'dumb screens,' if we get all our notifications and connectivity from wearable devices. (Interesting take on "wearable" technologies.

2. More accessible than the phone in your pocket.
3. Separates components from the phone - greater variation customization.
4. Smart phone can be hub of processing power so when you upgrade it is less components => cheaper.  The glasses / watch is just a display + mic + small components.
