Marketing and Communications Agencies: Do You Have a Content Gap? [Research]

Marketing and Communications Agencies: Do You Have a Content Gap? [Research] | We're in Business | Scoop.it

If you’re a marketing and communications agency, how confident are you that your own online marketing is top notch?

You might not be maximising your content and SEO, according to new research from Hinge Marketing.

The data shows that some marketing and communications firms are not necessarily marketing themselves as well as they could be to generate qualified leads and increase profitability (when compared with other professional services firms).

Jess Tracey's curator insight, March 18, 2013 11:00 PM

The content gap in this article refers to the fact that some marketing and communications firms aren't taking full advantage of online marketing of their brand. The article says that things such as regular blogs, articles etc are very important for companies and maintaining their brand. The article talks about how this is important for marketing and cmmunications agencies, but I believe it is important for all companies, as maintaining relationships with your customers is what will put your company above the rest. Having regular blogs etc to interact with your customers and potential customers builds brand equity by building upon these relationships. Communication is vital between a company and consumers in terms of building a strong brand.

PHAM THU NGA's comment, March 19, 2013 6:36 PM
I totally agree that communication is crucial to build a strong brand as well as increase the awareness of the brand. Also it's very important to enhance and strengthen the relationship with your consumers. The more interaction , the better. Even they are known as the top notch advertising agencies, they can't stop to marketing their brand and they should try to communicate with their consumers as much as possible.
Charlotte Johnson's comment, March 19, 2013 8:12 PM
relationships are what creates brand loyalty and communication is key to building a strong relationship between a brand and consumer. i agree with jess and pham's insights that by strengthening brand to customer and customer to brand communication it builds a solid foundation for all marketers to strengthen their brand image.

How to Build Trust in a Virtual Workplace

Teams can't function well when co-workers don't trust one another. Building and maintaining trust in the traditional, physical workplace is difficult enough, but the process is even tougher in a virtual environment, where people often have to work with people they haven't met in person.

Some biologists believe that we are hardwired to distrust everyone except our own family members. Studies have shown, however, that trust can indeed be actively accelerated and maintained on virtual teams even when they have to be assembled on the fly with employees scattered across the globe. According to our research, the following best practices will help:
