Blood levels of BPA become controversy | Save the Water | Water Education | Scoop.it
Blood levels of BPA become controversy. Values reported for humans appear high, study charges, possibly suggesting contamination or exaggerated exposures.
SavetheWater's insight:

BOSTON — The ubiquity of the pollutant bisphenol A in many plastic products, food-can linings, cash-register receipts and dental resins means that everyone is exposed to it daily. But controversy remains about how much BPA people actually ingest or otherwise encounter. New data reported at a February 16 symposium raised red flags over the accuracy of previously reported human blood concentrations of BPA — amounts described over the years as being representative of the general population.

Water contamination: TCE - Military families say they are in the dark about toxics - Residents at Moffett's Wescoat Village worry over TCE - TCE defined.
SavetheWater's insight:

This article contains educational material on TCE. I recomend that if you wish to learn more about this cancer causing chemical. Please review:

The chemical compound trichloroethylene (C2HCl3) is a chlorinated hydrocarbon commonly used as an industrial solvent. It is a clear non-flammable liquid with a sweet smell. It should not be confused with the similar 1,1,1-trichloroethane, which is commonly known as chlorothene.

The IUPAC name is trichloroethene. Industrial abbreviations include TCE, trichlor, Trike, Tricky and tri. It has been sold under a variety of trade names. Under the trade names Trimar and Trilene, trichloroethylene was used as a volatile anesthetic and as an inhaled obstetrical analgesic in millions of patients.

Two thumbs up...for over twenty years I have taught our youth, in the music field...How pleasing it is to see a child who is failing in regular academic studies, to become excited to learn more because music... a subject that may not have realized they were gifted in, was put before them. 4-5 out of ten became proficient in english , and art, and history, AFTER music was brought before them. All respect to our music teachers
