Rob Schneider's curator insight, May 4, 2013 10:29 AM

20 years ago, Cambodia started over from scratch. Educated Cambodians were either dead or had fled the country. Land title and financial records had been destroyed. Education was virtually non-existent. Khmer Rouge were still lurking in the shadows. At the same time, the United States was at the top of the heap and even ordinary Americans were cashing in, thanks to rising property prices and easy loans. In 1999, the Euro became the official currency in Europe and countries like Greece, Spain, Portugal and Ireland were experiencing unprecedented growth thanks to cheap credit. Enough said about these countries’ growth since 2008.

wanderingsalsero's curator insight, May 5, 2013 10:43 AM

Great article. I'm glad to hear Cambodians are moving up in the world.  Let's hope the NWO doesn't screw them too much.

wanderingsalsero's insight:

America doesn't haver an energy problem..... at least not one based on any real scarcity of energy.  Most people know we've got enough coal to last over 100 years and also that we've got huge amounts of recoverable oil and gas in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and also in the oil shale of the Rocky Mountain and Plains states.

The problem we DO have is ass-hole politicians who keep fucking things up just so they can justify their jobs.

This is an intersting article because it talks about new drilling and production technology that is bringing new opportunity to eastern states which really need a boost in their fortunes right now.

I can tell you from my own personal experience that oil and gass drilling, service and production is an interesting business.  It's hard work but the money is good and you know you're doing something important.
