First Amendment Shit On. Where? In Texas???!!! - Wandering Salsero

First Amendment Shit On. Where? In Texas???!!! - Wandering Salsero | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it
wanderingsalsero's insight:

As my article says, this is something that nobody, if you'd have asked them a couple of years ago, thought could or would ever happen in the Lone Star State of Texas.

Every body who loves freedom and especially who loves Texas and what the state stands for should rally to support Alex Jones.  His people where just told by Austin cops that (1) they couldn't pass out free copies of Alex's "InfoWars Magazine" downtown and (2) they couldn't park their car in metered, publick parking downtown because it had an InfoWars bumper sticker on it.

Both of these actions are absolute clear violations of the Constitution of the US and the constition of the State of Texas.  This is the kind of stuff that General Santa Ana would have done to the Texicans who resisted him and died in the Alamo.

Alex is calling for a peaceful demonstration Saturday but by the time most of you read this it'll be past that time.  However, I'd highly recommend you keed up with this matter on Alex's site, www.infowars.com .  I'm sure he'll post updates there.  Also check out his YouTube Channle...just search for Inforwars there too.

wanderingsalsero's insight:

There's some very good info here about the mechanics/procedures for owning gold.  For a lot of people (including me), we're not in a financial position to try to get 'into Gold'.  But I suspect there are people who could at least buy a little of it if they just knew how to do it.  So...this is for you.

What intrigues me about Gold is that just a little bitty bit of it is worth so much and in the event of financial/economic/societal chaos it would be very easy to carry a lot of 'value' with you.

Amid all the forecasts for what next year will bring, here are five business trends you'd be wise to pass up.
wanderingsalsero's insight:

You know...I tendto agree with this.  I just made a comment about sorta saying the same thing (i.e. it ain't no big deal) about content marketing.  People like to put new names of stuff so they can commercialize it or try to wedge into the 'action' but the bottom line for most activities and endeavors in life is still work and being nice to people along the way...and most people don't do those simple two things.

Collect and Organize Your Favorite Content Into Multimedia Collections with Publicate.it | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it

Via Robin Good
wanderingsalsero's insight:

I discovered this just now on my scoop.it.  It seems to be a variation on the idea of curation but this one seems to have some unique twists.  I've already signed up and I did look at the 'how to' video on the front page of their site but that's as far as I've gone on the experience.

What I think I'm reading and hearing from them is that there's something unique about the typs of media they let you mix and the ways that you can do it.

I'm always interested in anything that makes curating and presenting quick and easy.  I'm thinking that this will be the platfrom I use to put together 'course' material for a Casino Rueda class I might be starting in my neighborhood here.

P.S.  The very fact that I discovered this on my scoop.it just goes to illustrate on of the cool features of scoop.it....especially in comparison to RebelMouse.  It occurs to me that although I've said I like the 'embed' feature of RM, which scoop.it does NOT let you do for free...nevertheless scoop.it does make it easier to come up with content by giving you suggestions.

JOHN CLEESE on...creativity.

John Cleese on creativity.
wanderingsalsero's insight:

I liked Monty Python from Day One.  Next to the Beatles, I think MP is one of not only the best things to ever come out of England but also one of the crowning achievements of mankind.

John Cleese is one of the guys from the MP group who still is pretty active but I'll admit I've not kept as close track of what he's doing and saying as I should.  I think I really need to go back to YouTube and just search everything with his name 'tag'.

This video recently came to my attention and it's really supurb.

What he's saying about creativity is totally true.  I know that in my case, when I've got somethign to write, sometimes I'll just put it off and put it off and put it off....and then suddenly I'll feel like I'm ready to write it.  To me, that validates what John says about the nature of the unconscious mind in this video.

One particular new thing I learned about John is that he didn't start out in life in anything even remotely related to comedy but rather he was a scientist.  Wow.....who would have thought, eh?

wanderingsalsero's insight:

I'm still evenly divided on whether I prefer RebelMouse over Scoop.it.  I actually might lead toward Scoop.it except they make you pay extra to use Scoop.it AS your bog (and redirect the domain name).  With RebelMouse, you can embedd the whoe page onto a WP platform.

Regardless, I with more Salsa Club owners, studio owners would start curating with Scoop.it and/or RM.  It would make it a lot easier for their PR efforts too.

LIVING IN MEDELLIN COLOMBIA HAS TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT THE COST OF LIVING IN COLOMBIA. THE COUNTRY IS A FANTASTIC PLACE TO LIVE & I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE TO VISIT
wanderingsalsero's insight:

This guy looks like he really lives a good life.  Look at all the places he's traveled to and lived in.  Also notice that he give VERY high marks to Medellin...which fits right in with what I've been hearing about Medillen for at least a couple of years now.

What surprises me is how low the prices apparently still are there in return for the level of the infrastructure and amenities you'll find.  I'd definately put in on my 'bucket list'.
