Aside from the fact that I really think these flowers and greenery are pretty....that suitcase reminds me of the kinds of suitcases people use to carry. You know....to me, they have a certain sophistication that NO Samsonite suitcase could ever have.

Interesting video. I don't know what it pays but I think things like Uber and Lyft might be a fun way to pick up some extra cash in addition to being a nice way to meet people and see the city. If it's something that a person could do only on rides to and from work...it makes perfect sense too....i.e. to defray the cost of gas and your car payment.
Yet some cities don't like it. It's obvious the reason they don't like it is b/c of the fees/taxes they're losing.

Check out the chef guy. For somebody who might accurately be called a 'pot-head' (which I have nothing against, mind you!) I'd say the he's pretty alert to the inference in the subtle comment the reporter makes at the end. I'd say he's pretty alert.
This guy Scott lives in Bangkok and sorta has a 'Dear Abbey' site for guys who want various kinds of information about Thailand and, of course, the women. The problem he talks about here is a little more entertaining than most of the other inquiries he gets... mostly because it's more dangerous.
I've spent some time in Thailand so I know what he's talking about. And he's also 'right on' with what he says about relationships with women. 99.999% of the time it's a crap-shoot at best. You always pay one way or the other. Being in a cross-cultural situation like this just makes the outcome even more uncertain.

I didn't have time to watch all of this but I was struck with how sharp and articulate Ralph is..... and the fact that he's 10 years older than me. I'm 70 next month so that means Ralph is 80. I'd say he's in good shape.
