Sooo...what has Jesus been doing lately?
You know, something that really amazes me is the fact that you read virtually nothing in the popular media or even on the internet about End Times prophecy.....even in the light of the spectacular events that we see happening all around us today.
Is everybody blind?
It especially amazes me within the context of the internet marketing community. Day after day, week after week, month after month it's the same old shit from all the usual gurus. Amazing this, never before that, awesome something else, game-change tools, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I see it in the Salsa dance community too. Everybody acting like they're going to live forever and/or they're actors in some sort of grand, life-style commercial. There is so much role-playing going on there and I think, "Gee, what a waste of time!"
Me...I'd like to think my life is worth more than that.
It just reminds me of what Jesus said...i.e. that in the end times people would be going on about their lives in a fucked-up world just like they were when Noah took his family into the Ark and closed the door.
I notice that 99% of the time when I say something about End Times, or The Rapture, to people I know (even some people in my church), it's very obvious that they either (1) have no idea what I'm talking about, (b) know just enough about it to have a misconstrued idea of what it's all about, or (c) obviously don't want to believe it and go to great lengths to justify 'kicking the can down the road, philosophically.
I get the majority of my information from Frank Demora's excellent site, http://www.endtimesresearchminitry.com . Frank has devoted almost his entire life to a totally free ministry in explaining how current events relate to what The Bible says. Me....I find it very interersting.
Everyday there's news that matches 101% what the Bible said would be happening. It's soooo obvious....and, to Christians, very exciting. I haven't been able to convince my pastor to do any teachings on the subject but I find that, for me, the certainty that Jesus is going to do exactly what HE said HE would do (i.e. come back for us) to be very, very exciting.
As I look around this world today, I really don't see the average person with a life that's really anything to boast about....at least not in a cosmic sense of the world. After a minimum of 4,000 years of recorded history.....is this the best we can do?
I see what the life of 99% of people amounts to and....it ain't really very much. I see what passes for happiness and 'good living' today and (in the larger sense of the concept).....I'm not very impressed because it's certainly doesn't appear very permanent. And that's not even mentioning the evil that certain members of society seem not to mind doing to one another.
I'll tell you what I'm looking forward to. August 5, 2013. Many Bible scholars today note with enthusiasm how, so far, every event of Bible prophecy has fallen right into line with the Jewish Feasts. I'm talking Pentecost, Feast of Leavened Bread, etc. I can't remember the names of the others...but Frank did a teaching about it just a couple days ago. I think about it every day.
Most prophecy students see that the next event is indeed the Rapture of the Lord...i.e. the event where HE comes back for us, HIS church. Oh, what a cataclysmic event that will be in world history. The people who are left behind will have a hard time explaining that away!
The next feast is The Feast of Trumpets and it falls around August 5th, 2013. I hope YOU don't miss it.
If you'd like to know more about these events and what the Bible says about them, check out Frank's excellent site. I'm confident that there's somebody out there who will find it very fascinating and thought provoking...and might very well thank me for giving them that one final 'nudge' to help them make the most important decision they've ever made in their life.
Give your life to Jesus. Obviously HE thought it was worth HIS.
