No more communication problems between men and women.

No more communication problems between men and women. | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it
wanderingsalsero's insight:

Men should say what they mean and mean what they say in dealings with women and women need to understand that.  Let's move forward under these rules:

1. MEN ARE NOT MIND READERS.

1. LEARN TO WORK THE TOILET SEAT. YOU'RE A BIG GIRL. IF IT'S UP, PUT IT DOWN. WE NEED IT UP, YOU NEED IT DOWN. YOU DON'T HEAR US COMPLAINING ABOUT YOU LEAVING IT DOWN.

1. CRYING IS BLACKMAIL.

1. ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT. LET US BE CLEAR ON THIS ONE:

SUBTLE HINTS DO NOT WORK!
STRONG HINTS DO NOT WORK!
OBVIOUS HINTS DO NOT WORK!
JUST SAY IT!

1. YES AND NO ARE PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE ANSWERS TO ALMOST EVERY QUESTION.

1.. COME TO US WITH A PROBLEM ONLY IF YOU WANT HELP SOLVING IT. THAT'S WHAT WE DO. SYMPATHY IS WHAT YOUR GIRLFRIENDS ARE FOR.

1. ANYTHING WE SAID 6 MONTHS AGO IS INADMISSIBLE IN AN ARGUMENT. IN FACT, ALL COMMENTS BECOME NULL AND VOID AFTER 7 DAYS.

1. IF YOU THINK YOU'RE FAT, YOU PROBABLY ARE. DON'T ASK US.

1. IF SOMETHING WE SAID CAN BE INTERPRETED TWO WAYS AND ONE OF THE WAYS MAKES YOU SAD OR ANGRY, WE MEANT THE OTHER ONE.

1. YOU CAN EITHER ASK US TO DO SOMETHING OR TELL US HOW YOU WANT IT DONE. NOT BOTH.
IF YOU ALREADY KNOW BEST HOW TO DO IT, JUST DO IT YOURSELF.

1. WHENEVER POSSIBLE, PLEASE SAY WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO SAY DURING COMMERCIALS.

1. CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS DID NOT NEED DIRECTIONS AND NEITHER DO WE...

1. ALL MEN SEE IN ONLY 16 COLORS, LIKE WINDOWS DEFAULT SETTINGS..
PEACH, FOR EXAMPLE, IS A FRUIT, NOT A COLOR. PUMPKIN IS ALSO A FRUIT. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MAUVE IS.

1. IF WE ASK WHAT IS WRONG AND YOU SAY 'NOTHING,' WE WILL ACT LIKE NOTHING'S WRONG. WE KNOW YOU ARE LYING, BUT IT IS JUST NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.

1. IF YOU ASK A QUESTION YOU DON'T WANT AN ANSWER TO, EXPECT AN ANSWER YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR..

1. WHEN WE HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE, ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING YOU WEAR IS FINE...REALLY.

1.. DON'T ASK US WHAT WE'RE THINKING ABOUT UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO DISCUSS SUCH TOPICS AS FOOTBALL OR MOTOR SPORTS.

1. YOU HAVE ENOUGH CLOTHES.

1 .. YOU HAVE TOO MANY SHOES.

1. I AM IN SHAPE. ROUND IS A SHAPE!

1.. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS. YES, I KNOW, I HAVE TO SLEEP ON THE COUCH TONIGHT.. BUT DID YOU KNOW MEN REALLY DON'T MIND THAT? IT'S LIKE CAMPING...

wanderingsalsero's insight:

This is exactly what I was talking about in my last post. I'm surprised I didn't consciously think about it and mention. In my earlier post I cautioned 'our side' about getting excited about the upcoming Senate elections... for the simple reason that Obola & Krew are a slimy and slippery lot and we have no idea what they or their handlers have up their sleeve.

This is so obvious. It's all about EO's.

EXCLUSIVE: City health officials desperately search for experimental drug to use on Ebola patient Craig Spencer | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it
Five hours after Ebola-stricken Craig Spencer was hauled into Bellevue Hospital’s quarantine unit, the city Health Department sent a frantic email marked “URGENT” — asking if New York area hospitals, researchers and pharmacies had an experimental drug that has shown promise against the deadly virus.
wanderingsalsero's insight:

They're calling the unavailability of this drug a, 'lapse in preparedness' or something. How much you wanna bet that you wouldn't find a 'lapse' like that in S.Korea or Singapore...or probably not even in Russia?

Tim Burton on His Life and Movies Coming Full Circle with 'Frankenweenie' - YouTube

wanderingsalsero's insight:

I learned a lot about Tim Burton here. I especially like his views on the difference between kids and adults (which he says is a very blurred area....or should be anyway).

I've always admired people who could devote their lives to being creative. Maybe that's why I enjoyed being a musician in my early years and why I enjoy dancing so much now (which there's none of around here)...i.e. because every dance is different and creative (especially when you've got a really capable partner that you connect with).

Very Young Girls | Girls Educational & Mentoring Service (GEMS) | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it
wanderingsalsero's insight:

This is a very important subject that gets very little attention and is very easy to ignore, by most people, even when it surfaces briefly on their radar. I first heard about www.agapaewebsite.org a few weeks ago.

This video is one of several on their website. I'm not sure if this particular video pertains to their mission (they operate a rescue operation in Cambodia but their headquarters is apparently in California) or just the general subject of sex trafficking of young girls.

I sent them some money last month and I'm sending some more now. Probably $25. I think it's a very worthy cause.

From what I've heard lately, Cambodia is a nice place right now.

wanderingsalsero's insight:

I think the blush is off the Thailand rose. SE Asia still has a lot to offer but I think the 'trendy' place is moving to Cambodia and possibly. A friend of mine, well experienced in that part of the world, tells me Jakarta is one of the hottest spots in SE Asia now.

Although, to be honest, were it not so expense (compared to SE Asia), I think S.Korea, and specifically, Seoul, would be the funnest place for a dancer to live.

LifeVantage LifeStories featuring Tyler & Tasha Daniels - Master Pro 10
wanderingsalsero's insight:

I'm writing a short article about this company and I always go through the company's website to get a feel for who they are and what their culture is. This is a company I've written about once before, briefly, but I remember liking their testimonials.

This couple, Tyler and Tasha Daniels, are very successful in the company and on this video they way something that I agree with:

They said that (1) Network marketing 'levels the playing field' and virtually anybody an 'do it' if they just persevere. And Tasha commented that 'there's perfecting in the process', i.e. it's a personal growth experience that works resolutely.

One thing I've learned from my exposure in this job I do now is that it really doesn't make much difference what MLM company you're with (within reasonable parameters of course) because people buy 'you' first'. I think that's why most uber-successful MLM people are good people (not all of'em...but MOST of'em).

I've never been able to understand why every dance instructor or dance studio owner in the world isn't in one of these nutrition companies. To me, it just makes so much sense.

wanderingsalsero's insight:

Here's a very worthwhile video to watch. This young lady's name is Blair and she works in an organization headquartered in Kansas City. I was referred to this site and video by another lady I know who works with an organization called Agape Missions (AM) which does similar type of missionary work but (as I understand it) focuses on the sex traffic (of very young girls) in Cambodia.

Point is, what Blair says here really hits the nail on the head in describing the issues. Blair obviously knows what love is because she learned from the original and only real source, Jesus Christ.

I've been sending Agape a few bucks these last couple of months. In the case of Cambodia, where the average person makes as little as $2 a day, it's a relatively easy (as in 'no-brainer') way for me or you or most people in America to do something that is definitely a worthwhile cause.

I don't have the URL for Agape handy but you can look it up. They're in San Francisco and their mission is over in Svey Pak, Cambodia. You can probably Google 'Svey Pak Sex Industry' and find it or...look up something called "The Pink Room"... a movie somebody made about that situation.

As bad as things are for some people in America right now....it doesn't even compare to what these young girls trapped in the sex trade over in Cambodia are in. And of course, if you know anything about the subject of sex-slavery, you'll know that it's pretty bad in Eastern Europe too. There's some REALLY bad people involved in it but I think it's something that concerned Christians can impact.

Flood of Democrats unleashes against Obama

Flood of Democrats unleashes against Obama | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it
A Free Press For A Free People Since 1997
wanderingsalsero's insight:

Don't be fooled. Don't be distracted with a seeming victory on one part of the 'baord'. We need to be more concerned with what's hatching in the mind of the player. Obola was just a 'tool' albeit a pretty good one for as long as he lasted.

And frankly, now that he's obviously outlived his usefulness, he just might turn out to be expendable, for the purposes of his 'handlers' in some way that we don't yet see.

It was just HIM that we didn't/don't like. It's his ideology. He was just its temporary tool. The evil is still there and its got plenty of other willing, if perhaps unknowing, acolytes.

We need to NOT start whooping and hollering and celebrating but keep our mind on our objectives and ALL the players and factors not only directly in front of us but all 'to our flanks'.

wanderingsalsero's insight:

Wow!! An incredible performance. "Bolero" is a fantastic piece of music. Always inspiring. IMHO, it really starts to come together about at the 'middle' when the whole ensemble starts to play together. Prior to that it's all these little mini-groups that state the theme, one by one. But when the whole orchestra, with the trumpets and the trombone (my favorite...even though I'm a clarinet and bass guitar player), and the xylophone come in....it really get awesome. And the last part where the bass drum comes in, with the cymbals.....Awesome!

And this is an experience those players will NEVER forget.

wanderingsalsero's insight:

This is one of my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE-MOVIES. I actually had it in my memory that the name was "James and the Magic Peach" but apparently the peach was just 'giant' on only somewhat magic. The magic was in those little green bugs....and then in James' heart.

Anyway, it's one of those movies that just goes by in such a hurry. Everybody should watch it at least twice a year.

Time Burton, who was the Producer or something, also did some other similarly cool movies which I would guess are also on YouTube.

Here's What Happened When One City Gave Homeless People Shelter Instead of Throwing Them in Jail

Here's What Happened When One City Gave Homeless People Shelter Instead of Throwing Them in Jail | Wandering Salsero | Scoop.it
While many cities continue to criminalize the homeless population, one city tried giving them homes.
wanderingsalsero's insight:

I say"God Bless Salt Lake City" for doing this. It's easy to scorn homeless people. I've been guilty of it myself. But since then I've realized how tenuous any situation in life is and that everybody deserves basic respect.

Sure, some people get help and either can't handle it or take advantage of it without being looking at it as the blessing from God that it is. But my heart goes out to many of these people who have a heart humbled by the homeless experience.

I think we all should help homeless people when we can because life has a strange way of turning 'on a dime' and we never know when we'll need a blessing ourselves, or karma or whatever you want to call it. God sees every little act of kindness we give too.

LifeVantage LifeStories featuring Blue & Raelene Elam - Master Pro 10
wanderingsalsero's insight:

Here's another nice testimonial video from LifeVantage.  What's interesting about this one is that these people are obviously successful but the haven't put all their rewards into being ostentatious but rather acquiring the things necessary to be a successful family.

He talks about 'hanging drywall' on his days off and I can certainly relate to that. I remember back in my mobile windshield repair business, although I liked the work most of the time, I never felt good about taking time off (it was either 'feast or famine' those last few years). I was always worried that I 'wasn't there' when a client called, they'd never call me again (and I had a good amount of repeat business).

I've always said that it would be nice to have a business that not only allows you to always be friendly and nice (i.e. as opposed to being an asshole like modern business seems to require you to be frequently). One of the best things about MLM is that you are supposed to always be nice (even when it's an issue of 'tough love').
