MUTEK is constantly on the lookout for new projects and proposals from artists that explore new directions and strive to push the boundaries of digital and electronic creativity. Over the years the festival has always offered a variety of cultural experiences, combining:

• Live acts
• Audiovisual performances
• Multimedia projects, including interactive urban installations and architectural mappings
• Canadian talent.

The submission deadline for all MUTEK 2012 proposals is December 9th, 2011, though we strongly encourage you to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as we are already piecing together our program.

The editorial board is initiating a call for a special, inaugural issue on Environment(s) + Art. We look forward to receiving submissions of papers, projects, documented lectures, installations on any and all aspects of this topic, no matter how narrowly or broadly conceived.

Special consideration will be given to submissions received. We will be publishing materials in MOEBIUS on-line spring or summer 2012 with a subsequent release of the inaugural hard copy version to follow.
