Creative Foreign Language Application of VoiceThread

A movie clip was stripped of it its audio and uploaded into a VoiceThread.  Then two italian students collaborated on a script and read it in sync with the lips of the actors.  Love this idea!

Try this! In a VoiceThread that has a video shared on a slide (like this example), click "Comment" and then select the "mic" to leave a voice comment. Once the recording starts, click "play" to make the video play and start to speak as the video is playing. VoiceThread will record both your voice AND the moving video (which in this case was silent), syncing the two of them together in your new comment. They must have had two students sitting in front of a computer, taking turns to sync their voices with in the video.

An amazing VoiceThread collaboration about the Japanese internment camps.  The media in the VoiceThread includes samples of expressive artwork made by elementary school children. The audio comments include letters written by the students role playing the experience of internment camp prisoners.  Other comments are left by real survivors -- this is amazing.
