There are numerous inforgraphics floating around the web but the theme for most of them this month is a summary of the events of 2011. But the people at Clearspring, makers of the widget ‘AddThis’ have compiled one that shows the sharing trends of the past year.
It makes for some interesting reading including Tumblr sharing growing by 1299.5 per cent, Google sharing has declined by 8 per cent, even with the +1 button they’ve incorporated into all their services and sharing via mobile devices has grown by six times over the past year. It’s a short but sweet infographic which gives a nice indication as to what trends will occur next year.

The holiday shopping season isn’t over yet, and social media and marketing agency Mr Youth found that users of Facebook and other social media are super shoppers.

A whopping 93 percent of Facebook users have made or received shopping recommendations this holiday season, a figure much higher than what we’ve seen previously.
That comes from an online survey conducted by Mr Youth, which also found that 38 percent of Facebook users posted on a brand page during the three weeks leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. However, brands only respond to 55 percent of potential customers’ posts on the social network (uh, oh!).
