While discussing, it is logic, the psycology, the better half. Once you decided to start with it is the best half, to go with the Science the proven subject, which needs some more reaserch for the betterment of the society. From this point the Science and Phylosophy go to gether, no body is not sure of the output. Respect each other and make the points to be solved and tobe promoted. No love, no fear, makes way for justice.

Emeric Nectoux's insight:

The brain is quite unlike a computer,” Allen told The Economistmagazine last year. “Instead of memory and a few calculating elements, evolution designed every little bit of it to be hideously complex. And then when you start studying every little bit of it, you find there’s even additional complexity. Understanding how the brain works is a fiendishly challenging problem.”

The Age of Data Visualization

Data visualization is a communication tool effective  at communicating information based on data in a clear, concise, compelling manner.

Emeric Nectoux's insight:

Good article even though it is a bit too "BI oriented" to me. Of course, Business Intelligence tools (BI) are a great source of data for  data visualization, but you can find those data anywhere. To have great data visualization charts, you also can use a very small amount of data.

What is important to me in Data visualization is 3 things:

  1. The message you want to give.
  2. The quality of the illustration.
  3. The data and their reliability.

The irresistible power of classic storytelling.

It’s not often that you hear Budweiser and Shakespeare mentioned in the same breath. But according to new research from Johns Hopkins University, the Bard’s deft application of storytelling techniques featured prominently in the beer company’s Super Bowl commercial.

Regardless of the content of the ad, the structure of that content predicted its success. “People are attracted to stories,” Quesenberry tells me, “because we’re social creatures and we relate to other people.”

21 Examples of 'Real Life' Physical Infographics

21 Examples of 'Real Life' Physical Infographics | All about Visualization & Storytelling | Scoop.it

Real life data visualization is to be an upcoming trend, called physical infographics or real world visualization. They visualize data with real objects, often combined with typography.Real Life Infographics are different than other inforgraphics in that they rely much more on photographs instead of a purely digital medium. Moving away from the Everthing-Is-Possible-Unicorn-Utopia of Illustrator is an interesting limitation, as well as a simplifying one. As designers we like to come up with creative ways to display information that will still blow your mind, despite any technical limitations. The real world isn't perfect, and therefore it may not be as accurate as abstract shapes like graph bars. Even though these visualizations still strive for accuracy, you will notice that the context of these graphics will become much more important than precision.
