He studied art and design at the local colleges and began a successful career as a freelance illustrator, working with architects, designers, and advertising agencies. In 2002 Blandino shifted his focus and indulged in the world of fine art. Today, his paintings are widely known for their immediacy and lascivious expressions of colour, movement and shape.

I took away that we need to consider a broad overhaul of School to make it a holistic teaching and learning process for teachers and students. Larry Cuban points out that there is no evidence that teaching other languages, unless they are used extensively, helps students be more creative through transfer. Having taught French at various times, I would agree. Students have to find immediate usage. What it means to teach the "whole child" is something important to consider at the classroom level and allow that to inform changes.
