Crowdsourcing of some aspect of the creation of online learning content seems like a foregone conclusion. At some point in the not-too-distant-future, I believe that many jobs, maybe even a majority of jobs, will be performed online as we move towards a crowdsourced world. We will work with a distributed network of people, who we may never meet, to create things for other people who we may never meet. Via Nik Peachey
Digital Information Fluency (DIF) is the ability to find, evaluate and use digital information effectively, efficiently and ethically. DIF involves knowing how digital information is different from print information; having the skills to use specialized tools for finding digital information; and developing the dispositions needed in the digital information environment. As teachers and librarians develop these skills and teach them to students, students will become better equipped to achieve their information needs.

Welcome to Museum Box,
This site provides the tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period by placing items in a virtual box. What items, for example, would you put in a box to describe your life; the life of a Victorian Servant or Roman soldier; or to show that slavery was wrong and unnecessary?
You can display anything from a text file to a movie. You can also view and comment on the museum boxes submitted by others. Via Gust MEES

The DCC model of Curation is well worth reading. However, I feel that there is one aspect, possibly implicit, which should be clarified.
I believe that this model only appears to promote the traditional librarian skills of a neutral stewardship of resources rather than of a promoter of new-found learning or wisdom. - RT
What is a "blog"? "Blog" is an abbreviated version of "weblog," which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information. A blog features diary-type commentary and links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. Blogs range from the personal to the political, and can focus on one narrow subject or a whole range of subjects. - Very useful in a wide range of educational settings!
