Types of LMS Reports You Can Generate Using Moodle

Types of LMS Reports You Can Generate Using Moodle | Digital Learning, Technology, Education | Scoop.it

One of the important features of a Learning Management System is the report builder. Any typical online learning platform stores every minute detail of all training in its database. To get the required report for evaluating training, you need to generate the report using the LMS report builder.

If you are using Moodle LMS, let us see the list of the types of reports you can generate using it.

- Activity Report

- Course Overview Report

- Grades Report

- Logs Report

- Participation Report

- User-wise Course Completion Report

- User Outline Report

- Course access time log report

- Course Evaluation Report

- Quiz/Assessment report

It’s Unclearly Defined, but Telecommuting Is Fast on the Rise

It’s Unclearly Defined, but Telecommuting Is Fast on the Rise | Digital Learning, Technology, Education | Scoop.it
Aided by technology, telecommuting is becoming more common, and while it has its challenges, studies show that it tends to create happier, better workers.

As a telecommuter myself, I love my set-up. I've always gone into the office at least once a month minimally to make sure I've had some face time with my bosses (I have two) and be available to those who are in my home office. The commute to the office is about 50 miles away, which in NJ rush hour time is about 1.5 hours of driving on average, so I don't miss commuting in that respect. Nowadays, my commute is done once a week on average, which is still not too bad. I will agree with this article in that I think I get a lot more done and am more productive working from home. I don't think everyone is cut out for telecommuting, but for me, it works.

And, we can be all of those things and not be a technologists. It means being a decent person regardless of the setting. Also, one does not have to be decent to be a technologist. Like all communities, there are personal differences that exist on a continuum.

Adaptive Leadership: Khan Academy Founder Proposes New Type of College: Wired Campus - The Chronicle of Higher Education | Digital Learning, Technology, Education | Scoop.it

Salman Khan’s dream college looks very different from the typical four-year institution.

The founder of Khan Academy, a popular site that offers free online video lectures about a variety of subjects, lays out his thoughts on the future of education in his book, The One World School House: Education Reimagined, released last month. Though most of the work describes Mr. Khan’s experiences with Khan Academy and his suggestions for changing elementary- and secondary-school systems, he does devote a few chapters to higher education.

In a chapter titled “What College Could Be Like,” Mr. Khan conjures an image of a new campus in Silicon Valley where students would spend their days working on internships and projects with mentors, and would continue their education with self-paced learning similar to that of Khan Academy. The students would attend ungraded seminars at night on art and literature, and the faculty would consist of professionals the students would work with as well as traditional professors....

Learning is about making connections...

Ivon Prefontaine's curator insight, February 26, 2014 1:27 PM

One of the timeless principles is making connections. That explains connectivism as an extension of constructivism rather than a stand alone theory. We need to connect to people, to the subjects, and the world as if they were living. That is what motivates us and fuels the learning.

This is truly a great tool in my estimation, but theory and reality also collide with technology. If you are not 1:1 then the potential of the app is not getting used in the best way that it can.
