iTunes U–The Next Big Learning Management System? » Online Universities | Video in the k-12 classroom | Scoop.it

YouTube brings interactive quizzes to videos with Questions Editor beta

YouTube brings interactive quizzes to videos with Questions Editor beta | Video in the k-12 classroom | Scoop.it

Feel like something's missing from your YouTube viewing experience -- like some good 'ol multiple-choice questions? The chronic learners among us will be happy to hear that the site is testing an interactive -- and potentially educational -- feature that lets users add quizzes to their clips. A new page on the YouTube site describes a "Video Questions Editor Beta," which lets channel owners display multiple-choice questions on top of their videos as they play. The page is pretty blank at the moment, but the beta is up and running for those who opt in. Don't get too excited, though: YouTube's disclaimer states the feature "represents work in progress," and "there is no plan for long-term support of the feature."

Scrollshow - create panoramic presentations

Scrollshow - create panoramic presentations | Video in the k-12 classroom | Scoop.it

Scrollshow is an iPad application enabling the creation of borderless panoramic presentations as an alternative to the traditional “slide-by-slide”. Very user-friendly, Scrollshow moves the elements of the deck at different speeds along an horizontal axis following the finger’s scroll.

With this innovation, Scrollshow is bringing one of the most spectacular effects of video games and animated movies to presentations - the parallax scrolling.
