OpenEd | Worlds Largest K-12 Open Educational Resources

OpenEd | Worlds Largest K-12 Open Educational Resources | video games and awesome albums | Scoop.it

OpenEd is the largest K-12 educational resource catalog, with over a million Common Core-aligned videos, games and assessments. While it integrates with all popular Learning Management Systems it offers its own simple “flipped classroom” LMS oriented to using resources.

It is the the only site focused on offering Common Core and other standard aligned resources, so it has many more times Common Core videos, games and assessments than any other catalog.

Worth spending more time looking through the resources here. I'm particularly interested in the playlists (aka curation) - selection of open resources, and sequencing from a knowledgeable trusted source.

Create Videogames Movement

You don't have to teach Anna Anthropy anything about creating movements. She gets it. Ana is a rebel videogame creator who thinks the world would be better off if we all created videogames.

I agree and have ordered Anna's book and would have purchased one of her Make A Game For You options from her recent Indigogo campaign if I hadn't missed it.

Plan to contact Anna to see if she will make a game for http://www.curecancerstarter.org.

6 Macro Prompts Merging Reflective Thinking With Bloom’s Taxonomy

Create: What should I do next?

Evaluate: How well did I do?

Analyze: Do I see patterns in what I did?

Apply: Where could I use it again?

Understand: What was important about it?

Remember: What did I do?
