Australia is advocating punishment of those who disagree with the medical authorities and forcing their treatments on those who would refuse.

A prime example of the sect mentality that goes with anti vax rantings. The whole world is against them, the Government wants to silence them, etc.
"It's my body!" scream the antivax lobby. Er, no: it's your child's body that you want to expose to dangerous and unpleasant diseases, some of which - like chickenpox - remain with you for life.
Even more importantly, if we were to take the callous view that by failing to vaccinate their own children, this bunch of irresponsible, hysterical fuckwits are doing us a favour by dooming themselves to long-term extinction, they are putting others at risk. People who cannot be vaccinated for various reasons: the very young, those with immune system diseases, people undergoing chemotherapy, etc.
It's NOT "your body". It's everyone else's. If your claim the right to govern your body, you must also accept that other people have the same right to govern theirs. You do not have the right to condemn them to pain, suffering or death because of *your* selfish stupidity.

AN organisation that aims to discourage parents from vaccinating their children has been ordered to place a consumer warning on its websites and Facebook page. NSW Fair Trading Minister Anthony Roberts issued a formal order earlier this year that the Australian Vaccination Network change its name or be deregistered. But the organisation attempted to thwart the minister's order by appealing in the NSW Administrative Decisions Tribunal. Tribunal president, Judge O'Connor, responded to a bid by the AVN to stay proceedings on Friday by placing a number of conditions on the organisation. A prominent consumer warning must be published on its websites and Facebook page by March 26. It will state: "NSW Fair Trading has directed the AVN to change its name because it regards the name to be misleading." Delete the scoop?

Andrew Wakefield is an evil, lying bastard who still makes money on the anti-MMR lies he started some 15 years ago. He is currently trying to glean publicity (and therefore gain custom via speaking fees) from the measles epidemic in Wales, a direct result of *his* fraud.
Nearly 700 cases so far, including one death. 10% of measles victims suffer lifelong sequels.

We already knew the anti-vax "Too many too soon" slogan was unscientific bollocks, if only because they vastly overstate the number of vaccines actually given to infants and the strange fact the children on the normal vaccination schedule remain perfectly fit and healthy.
