How To Measure Customer Loyalty?

How To Measure Customer Loyalty? | Expertiential Design | Scoop.it

Customer loyalty plays a key role in any customer experience management program. Customer loyalty reflects the degree to which customers engage in positive behaviors toward and experience positive feelings about a company or brand. Your customer loyalty metrics plays large part in your customer experience analytics efforts; the goal of analytics is to uncover ways to improve customer loyalty.

Eric_Determined / Eric Silverstein's curator insight, June 2, 8:37 PM

"3 different types of customer loyalty:

1. Retention loyalty – the extent to which customers will stay with you / not defect to a competitor

2. Advocacy loyalty – the extent to which customers will recommend your company/brand

3. Purchasing loyalty – the extent to which customers will expand their relationship with you by buying more and/or different products/services from you.

Each of these types of customer loyalty are responsible for different types of business growth. Retention loyalty leads to long-term customers who are easier to service. Advocacy loyalty brings in new customers. Purchasing loyalty increases the average revenue per customer."

It's important to recognize all 3 as you evaluate your performance, and make the necessary adjustments to earn your customer loyalty.

Will Intelligent Personal Assistants Replace Websites?

Andy Bull's curator insight, May 30, 9:15 PM
The next challenge for journalists? Getting your content favoured by intelligent personal assistants. This from the post: "As more and more people search via personal assistants, and with personal assistants trying to deliver answers directly in their interface, we'll see an increasing number of searches that completely bypass web search rankings. As 3rd-party integration becomes more widespread, there will be an increasing number of dynamic queries that personal assistants can handle directly (e.g. "where can I buy The Martian?," "flights to Berlin," or "order a pepperoni pizza"). This is a massive opportunity — it does not matter how many links and how much great content your competitor has to help them in "classical SEO" if you've integrated straight into the search interface and no web search is ever shown to the user. You can be the only search result shown."

Terry Patterson's curator insight, May 25, 10:28 AM
To some, getting the right UX process implemented into the agile development process is a mystery.  To others, they dismiss UX as a process and introduce it as a set of tasks in discovery and concept creation. The reality is that the UX process is flexible and adaptable to the SDLC. The trick is to be ahead of the dev sprint, and I mean, way ahead.

Becoming a better business technologist | McKinsey & Company

Becoming a better business technologist | McKinsey & Company | Expertiential Design | Scoop.it

There’s no silver bullet, but success requires being able to identify technologies, understand their implications, and deploy them in an effective, structured way in your organization.

Successful business technologists need more than pure technical skill: they must know how to solve strategic and operational problems in an integrated way, across multiple technology domains. In this episode of the McKinsey Podcast, principal James Kaplan talks with McKinsey’s Luke Collins about the skills companies are seeking from business technologists and how to acquire them, expanding on the themes identified in his article “Ten books to make you a better business technologist.” An edited transcript of their conversation follows.
